Vegetarian muscle gain?!

Question: I've been a vegetarian for a little over 5 months now and i was looking for some good diets and workouts to help gain muscle. I went vegetarian to help me lose the 25 pounds i gained freshman year of college and i lost it all pretty quickly. Im 19, 5'6 and weigh about 121 now. I want to gain muscle-hopefully without compromising being a vegetarian. I do eat fish however, so i am acquiring protein from that, and from muscle building shakes at the gym. any suggestions?

Nuts and eggs will be the best sources of non-meat protein you can get. Of course there's fat that goes along with them, but if you're exercising alot then that's OK.
Also legumes....beans and so forth...are a great source with less fat. This includes tofu as well.

eat peanut butter- It is a good source of protein!
Some other sources are,
Milk
Tofu
Cottage cheese
Green Vegtables!

And other food with lots of protein!

FYI - vegetarians don't eat fish.

Can I get source for that "pesce-vegetarian" nonsense that you posted?

As long as you're eating a varied, balanced diet with enough caloric content, you're getting enough protein. You build muscle by challenging muscle, pure and simple.

And please don't call yourself a vegetarian when you eat dead animals. Vegetarians do not eat fish. Your dietary choice is a valid one, but it is not vegetarianism.

You have to do some SERIOUS strength training i.e. weight training ..., and pack on some extra calories when you do it. The strict vegetarian routine isn't going to work very well for you considering your age if you want to build any kind of muscle mass before you are old enough to retire. Yeah, there are veggie "exceptions" but believe me they are far and few between. You will likely need to increase your fish intake as well.

Well, you need good quality organic food and a well-rounded diet. No shakes. No vitamin pills. No supplements. Exercise builds muscle. Look at those around the world that are naturally ripped with muscle from *working* not working out. They are not on any specific diet. Likely they are on a very meagre diet.

Some of the people above are still into shakes, vitamins, etc. but they are unneeded. Really.
