Have you ever asked a question out of sincere curiosity and been snapped at by someone in the V&V forum?!

Question: What did you ask?

I apologize for any unwarranted attacks on other users. Many V&V users have reached the end of their fuses as many questions may be viewed as deliberately offensive as they have been asked many times by trolls that just want to see negative reactions. I may have explanations for some of the unpleasant responses.

Not me. OK I'm lying. Do I reap what I sow? Not all of my questions are gems but 99% are serious questions. It's not my fault the answerer can't discern my use for the answers.

You and I get along just fine. Some people don't like me and I don't like some people. That's how life goes.

I still can't figure out why my question "is calling a dish vegan ice cream the same as calling a dish meatlover's tofurkey?" was deleted. There is no cream in the vegan dish, there is no tofu in the meaters dish. I thought the question was light hearted but somebody in the angry mob had it deleted. Just like the question about the chat I'm setting up. It got deleted. Ironically, I'm setting it up so we can speak without the threat of a violation! But somebody couldn't have that either.

I think every question I've asked has resulted in an unwarranted attack from ashley... until I blocked her that is. No need to explain this to me though... I know he/she/it's a troll who deserves our pity.

I must admit certain questions (eg. do vegetarians eat fish? and do vegetarians eat animal crackers?) are really starting to annoy me and I haven't been as polite as I could have been. What annoys me the most is that these people must know they've been asked before because yahoo comes up with suggestions when they're typing them. They just keep asking them to annoy people or because they think they're being clever and/or funny.

There seems to be quite a bit of that going around but from what I've seen you've said nothing for which you need to apologize.

I'll second the "end of their fuses" theory.

I do tend to get mean when someone ask

1. Is fish meat
2.Animal crackers
3.plants feeling pain
etc.

When i ask a question i get good answers and a few trolls

I've asked very few questions in this forum. The harshest answers I got were not even harsh at all. One said I sounded like I need some red meat, and the other said, "You have a kid and you're a vegan! OMG! Your kid will hate you!"

Yeah. OUCH??

I like when they ask, "This may sound stupid: vegetarians and animal crackers!!! SERIOUS QUESTION!!!"
Ha ha...

yeah i know what you mean, the ironic part is that they usually make themselves look idiotic in the process of writing these questions.
but when people dont understand things they make fun of it, seems to be the way these days.

To answer the question: No.
To respond to ME because he/she doesn't allow emails: I simply lump you in with the other trolls because you ask questions that are clearly intended to make people have to try and defend themselves. Isn't the definition of a troll someone who purposely incites or baits others for no other purpose than to incite and bait? I'm not here to argue. I'm here because I genuinely like being a vegetarian and I appreciate all the help I've received here and want to return to the favor. So someone asks a genuine question and you get idiots like that Flexitarian or Ashley who have no purpose but to try and make vegetarians look bad. But they don't just do that; they maliciously spread false information, too. That pisses me off. So if you are not of their ilk I apologize for grouping you with them. And for the record, blocking simply makes it easier to track the trolls. And also for the record, whoever Meg and Skully might be, aren't there enough annoying idiot-responses as it is? Do you really need to invent more? AND ALSO FOR THE RECORD, do you know where you can take those thumbs down and shove them?

Not really. I have had some answers that surprised me when I asked them in other forums though--sometimes people get insulted by things I wrote when I didn't see it coming.

I haven't asked any questions for a while. I just can't think of anything new, I guess. Sometimes I learn more by trying to answer other people's questions.

I have never had a question of mine get removed. At least one person has me blocked--I can't remember her name, but she was asking a lot of stupid questions in V&V. I had one person tell me he reported me but nothing ever happened.

exfst; the first time I ever noticed you were here, you were personally attacking me. I only singled you out because you singled me out first. What did you expect?

No, but then I haven't asked a question in forever. I am probably guilty of snapping at the odd person who was asking a sincere question, but yeah, I get to the end of my fuse sometimes with the animal cracker nonsense. And seriously pissed off at some of the deliberate misinformation some of our resident trolls spew. I try to be serious if the questioner sounds serious and flip if the question sounds flip. I must be doing OK since I've only ever had one answer deleted.

I only know of one person who has blocked me and it's actually kind of funny. I probably wouldn't bother answering "her" (just an assumption) because if her questions are as ridiculous as her answers, it would be an exercise in futility.

For the record, I don't think you have anything to apologize for. Your answers cut to the chase, but they always have content to them.

i only asked one question here and it wasn't about food reall, it was about vegans. I don't think I'll ever post a food question under this category as I have no desire to be a vegetarian. However, I like food in general so I answered a question here a month ago or so. As honestly and as sincerley as I could and lo and behold, my answer was inundated with negative ratings. Some even singled me out. So I thought what the hell, let's get it on...

Yes, I have.

No, can't say that I have. But it seems there is as much grand standing in the YA Veg section as in Religion and Spirituality. If the question is stupid, I don't waste the energy to answer it or even click on it? Some questions don't warrant my time or thoughts. YA is becoming more of a place to rant and debate than share thoughts and opinions. Wish it weren't so.

No, but yes in other areas.
People just do not consider that fact that text does not convey TONE OF VOICE!!!
Everyone should just chill out and assume people are 'talking' in a calm civilized manner.
