Couscous recipes?!

Question: Anything simple and good.

Answers: Anything simple and good.

My nanny used to make this amazing couscous recipe when I was a baby. I'm so happy my mom got it from her.

Zohra's Couscous: Serves 4

3 cups couscous
1 tbsp honey, more if desired
1/2 cup raisins of any variety
a pinch of cinnamon

Cook the couscous according to directions.
Stir in honey
Pour in raisins and incorporate well
and serve a little bit of cinnamon on top.

This is my favorite--we have it 2-3 times a week in the summer:
One box couscous
follow directions on box-then place in big bowl
Add lemon juice-1Tb (or more to taste)
Olive oil-1 Tb (or more depending on how you like it)
Cut up a bunch of shallots, or use one whole onion
Cut up at least 1 large cucumber, sometimes I use 2,
Next add tomatoes...either roma or grape, or your fav, just make sure all veggies are cut to same size.
Then add salt, pepper to taste, stir together & refridge until cold. I also like garlic with mine, so I add lots of garlic powder.
This recipe is so fresh & tasty! Also, you can add the ingredients to your taste..it took me a couple tries to figure out the way we like it, so have fun with it!

cook it with onions and garlic and peppers, this greek lady tought me how to make it.
