Vegetarianism opinions?!
Answers: I'm a vegetarian. My family is a huge meat eating family. What do you guys think about being vegetarian? I am in it cuz of the animal cruelty (search PETA TV for my reasoning). Your opinions?
I've been a vegetarian for almost four years because I'm against animal cruelty and health benefits are a plus. My dad and sister eat meat but my mom became a vegetarian with me. I'm so thankful for her support. Just keep your head up. Maybe you can make a vegetarian friend to help you along. It is much easier with someone backing you up.
I think its time for a change. Either factory farming industries change their ways and treat their animals like living beings instead of garbage or we stop supporting their ways. People say that God intended for us to eat meat, but I'm sure God didn't intend for us to treat his creations like that! If animals were raised in a normal environment I wouldn't be vegetarian to be honest.
Vegetarians and vegans get so much bashing. I don't get why people care so much about what I eat and what I choose not to. I'm not shoving lettuce down their throats, so why should I get meat shoved down mine? Another thing about being a vegetarian is getting meat waved in your face. This has happened to me at school countless times. I'm sure not even someone who eats meat would appreciate it. It's just rude and immature.
Even though I'm a minority, I think its the right thing to do.
i became a vegetarian 3 years ago at the age of 10 but both my parents are meat eaters, long term, i wish i would have made the decision, but also long term i don't even notice the difference really. I've became so accustomed to not eating meat that i don't notice the difference in my diet anymore, i agree with your beliefs about animal cruelty though.
vegetarianism is great!
I do it for health reasons, my body does not like red meat. I also do it because the consumption of meat is harder on the environment than eating more vegetable products. I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian, I can't give up cheese, milk and baked goods.
You sound exactly like me lol. My brother gets all meat pizza, while I get veggie pizza lol.
I'm a vegetarian for animal cruelty too.
I love it! And good for you!
YAY FO VEGGIES!
im a member of PETA too...Pet and Eat The Animals....don't ya have to kill the veggies as well to eat them? i'd go burger king....always remember, you asked for my opinion
im the same, people say that they think its ok to kill animals so long as it doesnt hurt them, but i think thats like saying i could kill a person so long as it doesnt hurt them, which is just stupid.
im a vegetarian too, and almost everyone around me is eating meat and constantly pressuring me about not eating meat, saying stupid things like "how will you get protein?" and "there are so many important nutrients you arent getting". but obviously they have no idea how much healthier a vegetarian diet is than eating meat. i keep telling them that its healthier to be on a vegetarian diet than to eat meat, and then i support that with facts, but no they dont want to believe any of it.
anyways, i think vegetarianism is great, and you should keep it up. im in on it for the animal cruelty too. i just think that man kind has gotten to the point where we are killing way too many animals, and i hate how people think that we are the dominant species and there fore are supposed to eat all other animals. i think that is bs, i think weve gotten to the point where we no longer need to eat meat because we have other options. like if i was alive like 400 years ago, maybe i wouldnt be a vegetarian. but now, we dont have to eat meat
i think all that was unclear...but oh well
hope this answers your question
Me, too. Veg*nism is great!
well you will definately live healthier and without guilt
im vegetarian because i was born into hinduism which teaches about animal cruelty and a bunch of universal things so i was deep into it because i like animals
I was in my 30s when I went veg, and I'm the only one in my family who's vegan--heck, everyone else in my family eats meat. You have to do what's right for you, stand your ground, but be polite about it.
