Fruits and veggies?!

Question: Ok lately I've been eating really bad foods, how can I encourage myself to eat fruits and vegetables for a month along with lots of water to help with my skin and also cleanse all the (junk) that i have in my body? I want someone who has experienced this. How did you stick to it? is there any type of vitamins or natural herbs that I can take along with the fruits and vegetables to feel full and encouraged?

Add to your diet low fat dairy, nuts, lentils and lots of fiber to keep you feeling full. Fiber along with water will also help cleanse your body. Eat small portions throughout the day to keep your metabolism working and blood sugar levels even. Prefer slow carbohydrates like brown rice and pasta and avoid white sugar and wheat. Eat things that taste good, so you won't get bored. Smoothies are a good snack choice as well as berries and fuit added to low fat yog. Plan beforehand as much as you can and stock your kitchen well before starting! Oh and a good tip is to flavor your water with fruit pieces, for nice taste (raspberries, lime, strawberries...).

Good luck with it!

no idea, but great question and I`m going to be checking your answers, best of good luck ;)

A quick and easy way to do this is to put all the fruit in a smoothie maker and blend it.That way you get your five a day in one lovely drink!

First, I only went tothe grocery store and bought those items...no junk food. Then, I brought all my lunches to work...I rarely eat out. But, I splurge on the weekends a bit.

I find that when I exercise I tend to eat more fruits and vegetables and eat healthier.

Spice it up a bit - add sauces (low fat) or curry powder to vegetables which have been lightly steamed, add vinaigrette to salad and eat fruit with fromage frais or natural yogurt. Or search for recipes on smoothies and mix it all up in one gulp.

Hi! I was in a similar position to you, looking to eat more healthy food and increase my fruit/veg intake. first you have to find out what fruits / veg you like the most (not just one or two but a good selection so you can rotate them without getting bored.)

I heard that you should pick fruits of different colours to maximise you vitamin and mineral intake. I like to snack when I'm on breaks at work so I take in a good selection of fruits for break and such times. Picking high fibre fruits is a good way to feel full, kiwi fruit is packed with fibre, but only if you eat the skin which is not every ones cup of tea ha ha.

Don't give up eating things totally, it's a lot harder to give up rather than just ration foods. Maybe to help encourage you to eat more veggies look for a recipe site that has easy to cook recipes or when you cook your meals just add a couple more types to the steamer.

Lastly all I can say is don't be scared of how something looks, I used to be put off by the sight of many fruits / vegs but I decided to just go for it and picked loads of random ones off the shelves and I'm glad I did!

Good luck, remember variety is the spice of life! :)

I gave junk food da boot. Simple as that. It's easier to get hungry and eat a few carrots and apples if they are there when chips are not.

i found that i love salads with chicken. i love broccli in ranch and tangeriens are great.at every meal add one fruit or vegetable, and as move on, add more Good luck

I like pretending I'm a giant eating little trees when I eat broccoli. Works everytime. =)

The best idea is to smoothie them all =D

Grab a blender wack them all in and there you go a really healthy scrummy snack =D
