Hunter falls out of tree while hunting?!
There's an opinions section. Someone said that he had it coming to him, but others think that the person that said he had it coming to him is heartless.
Personally, I think the person that is really heartless is the hunter..because well, I don't like hunters.
So the question is- do you think that the person that wrote that he found it amusing that the hunter fell out of a tree was wrong? Do you think it was wrong of him to write an opinion stating he was happy the hunter got a taste of his own medicine because the hunters family is upset that the man died?
Answers: In the newspaper a few days ago it said a man fell asleep in a tree while hunting, and died. But before he died he called his wife on his cellphone asking for help. By the time the ambulance came he was already dead. In the newspaper his wife was saying all he lived for was hunting and fishing. That they have tons of animals in their fridge that he brought home.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I loath anyone who hunts for sport (as opposed to hunting to put food on the table for his family). I wouldn't say he had it coming to him, but I can't feel any sympathy for a guy who only lived to kill for sport.
In the eyes of the hunted, he got what was coming to him.
In the eyes of his family, what idiot falls asleep in a tree.
I think that it's really sad but damn, use your head.
Sounds like the Darwin awards.
Honestly...I am sad for his family.... and jumping for joy for the animals and secretly laughing inside because he fell asleep in a tree...some kind of hobbie/sport of whatever they call it..so interesting you can fall asleep..even in a tree.
KARMA. What goes around does indeed come back around. Sometimes the same way you handed it out.
I do find it very funny he fell asleep though...maybe a little too funny considering the circumstances an all. But seriously how exactly do you fall asleep in a tree?
maybe it was wrong for that person to make a joke about it when the man's family was grieving and stuff, but i actually think he got what he deserved, even though i respect other peoples beliefs. that didnt make sense though did it...
well i cant really say he deserves to die because he purposely kills animals, because my friends and family eat animals...
well idk, i guess he got what he deserved.
and by the way, the article may have been lying about how the man died or somthing. because...
when you have a heart attack, you are out cold, you cant call someone on your cell phone and tell them your having a heart attack, you simply cant, your heart isnt pumping properly. the only way the guy could have been able to call his wife would have been if he actually knew that he was about to have a heart attack, like he could feel the symptoms, but even then people absolutely never ( like 99 % of the time) think they are having a heart attack, even if they are well informed about them. and also if he did recognize the symptoms, he would only have up to like 3 minutes before he would have passed out. so basically, the guy couldnt have had a heart attack and called his wife
and also if he did have a heart attack it was from all the meat he ate.
Yes veg*n label themselves as being morally kind to all animals, but they forget that humans are animal too. What they fail to understand is that said hunter had a family that will miss him and may had depended on him unlike animals, I never seem an animal morn the death of its mother on the yearly date of its parents death.
But to be honest its like that with veg*ns I have seen too many times (just look through the ALF forums) they are always seem happy that a hunter has died. Yet to be honest a few AR activists have died then they have been protesting, would it be right to say that they got what they deserve, jumping in front of moving lorries? No, I don't think so.
This reminds me of similarly tragic story of 2 vegan couples who were convicted because their infant child died of malnutrition after being fed a vegan diet. Am I suppose to make fun of the couple ad their dead infant and say they had it coming because I don't believe in the vegan diet and think it is wrong? Would their child have died if fed a balanced non vegan diet? The child was 5 months old for goodness sakes! (many people with congenital heart disease die of heart attacks at a much much younger age) Should I rejoice in the misery on another because their tragedy helped me prove an argument? Maybe I should laugh and secretly dance with joy (as one here so eloquently put it) if you choke on some nuts or broccoli because after all, you had it coming, I told you so...
Your cry for humane treatment of animals is admirable perhaps, but is it too much to ask of you to feel the same compassion for your fellow man and that you treat other human beings humanely as well?
I think hunting's the same as killing for food unless meat was your only means of survival. If a veg*n diet is readily available then eating meat is purely for the pleasure of your tastebuds... so it's therefore killing for pleasure, just like hunting is.
I'm neither happy nor sad about the dead hunter. I'd like to think that humans were 'above' hunting and that we have more compassion than that but this hunter didn't. So in a way, I see him as more of an animal... animals kill animals and some animals might stupidly fall out of a tree.
My whole family hunts. It's a way of life. We hunt to eat. Although, it is pretty stupid to fall asleep in a deer stand! We don't hunt for sport and we always eat what we kill. Look at it from the hunter's point of view...What would you do if you couldn't raise fresh vegetables, or they weren't available to you? Would you just starve, or would you kill something to feed yourself? So I guess I could say that I would find it funny if a vegetarian choked and died while eating a veggie! What sort of person would make fun of someone dying? Everyone has a right to do what they want when it comes to eating. Everyone has their own right to their own opinion. Just remember that it goes both ways.
Some of you people make me sick. When an animal dies it's sad, but when it's a person you are thrilled. Holy hypocrisy Batman!
There are a couple of holes in this story. He fell asleep in a tree while hunting, so how did he call his wife for help before he died?
I don't feel particularly sorry for him, just like I think the couple who fed their infant son soy milk and apple juice are idiots, not vegans, because any vegan with a brain knows that mothers of all species are supposed to use the milk they produce to feed their babies. And every carton of soy milk clearly states you're not to use it as animal formula.
I do feel for the family, though. I'm sorry a woman lost her husband to a stupid hobby, and her children lost their father.
This reminds me of a conversation I overheard in Jasper, Canada . A hunter had been mauled by a bear (grizzly or black, can't remember).
Man: "Ya heard about the hunter's run in with the bear?"
Woman: "Ooo no what happened?"
M: "Bear mauled him but he shot it and he died"
W: "What? The hunter died?"
M: "No, I mean the bear died. It was shot dead".
W: "Oh GOOD...I'm so glad the hunter made it"
People with attitudes like that are hopeless. That "Oh GOOOOD" riled me up.
MY opinion - the hunter was killing animals, AND wandered into bear territory. He did not deserve any pity. Unfortunately, it was the bear that lost the fight, as happens in most cases on this continent.
Same thing applies in your case.
Sorry, I don't have time to pity every person who dies. I reserve my pity for those who actually deserve it.
