Tips to help me go vegetarian?!
Answers: I have been thinking of going vegetarian. But there are a few non veg-foods I'm not sure that I can give up. I want to do it for the animals, and for myself. I beleive it is a healthier lifestyle too ( if done correctly). I know that I will need to possibly take nutrition pills/ vitamins. I took nutrition in college, so I know how to handle that part. I just need some encouragement on how to give up ALL non-veg foods!
Moderation and do it slowly. Eventually the temptation will go away.. PROMISE
Man I tried it... It just didn't work. I realize I need my proteins plus chicken and burgers taste so good.
It sounds to me like you should try a flexitarian diet, you'll be able to eat some meat.http://www.fitnessandfreebies.com/health...
I am a vegetarian and trust me it is acually really easy once you get into it. Just watch out for hidden meat and get lots of protein from peanuts and cheese. Good luck!
Dried beans and peas when cooked give good sources of protein, and also peanut butter. But you should ask yourself why we have teeth for eating meat.Meat protein can`t be replaced with a vegetarian diet,it`s not natural or healthy. You could cut down because most people eat more meat than they should.A little meat is better than allot and much better than none.
Check out "Vegetarian Times" and read more about it..Believe it or not, the old saying "You are what you eat" is SO TRUE and the longer you live the more you will understand that....take care....
just don't eat meat. You have to force yourself, everytime you are going to eat meat, just think about the animal. If you just keep it up everyday, the cravings will start to go away and it will get much easier.
Just think of the purpose why do you wanna become vegetarian in the first place, then you giving up non-veggie food will become easier. Sure, temptation comes and go. Do not let other people talk you out. If you strong enough, you'll made it. Other people made it, so can you.
Just don't eat meat. Whenever you see an ad for meat or something that gives you a craving, just think about why you don't want to eat it. Or distract yourself in another way. It gets easier after a month or so. Remember, watch out for gelatin and rennet! (gelatin comes from animal bones and i think rennet comes from calf stomachs?)
Good luck, enjoy your new lifestyle!
try mourning star soy dogs. they're good
