Flexitarian Vegetarians or Flexitarian Vegans?!
What do you think is the healthies type of meat to include in a flexitarian vegetarian or flexitarian vegan diet.
Answers: On the rare occasions when you include some meat in your diet . . .Does your preference run to seafood, fish, poultry or "red" meat or some combination?

Usually I opt for seafood or fish. Red meat very seldom.
I think all meat is healthy when ate in moderation.
Edit* I reported majnun for harassment and false accusations.
I am no flexitarian.
I am a VEGAN.
I consume no animal products, no matter what the occasion.
I wouldn't live a vegan lifestyle if I did otherwise.
Sushi is the only meat i have eaten since i started doing whatever it is i am doing. raw salmon or raw tuna. Oh and one time deer meat, but that was just as part of a deal with a friend of mine who hunts and i dont really plan on making a habit out of it.
maj, you probably wont read this since you almost certianly already gave me a thumbs down, but if you read through trac's question she hasnt picked flexi on a one of them. and even if it were a conspiracy- who cares?
Maj, why do you dislike flexitarianism so much? It is a catchall that helps describe all sorts of diets that are not quite vegetarian and it is valuable for its lack of an exact distinction because there are so many different diets that are possible like this. It is people like you that reinforce the myths about vegetarians that they are grumpy and hate anyone who eats any meat. Loosen up, it takes all types. And flexitarians are people who are at least making an effort, i started out respecting you as someone who was at least making an effort, but the more you whine about flexitarianism the more i just see you as a milk drinking hypocrite. How is you not doing everything you possibly can any different than me not doing everything that i possibly can? because it doesnt fit your imaginary lines of what not doing everything you can should look like?
For me it's mainly seafood and fish when I'm ashore. On duty my choices are pretty limited, but we have poultry and I avoid red meat when I can.
Personally, I think fish and seafood are the healthiest ounce for ounce because of the Omega-3. But poultry and especially poultry that is wild ... partridge, goose, etc. are quite healthy because of the leaness and the fact that they forage on natural food.
EDIT: Why would two very stupid people who are obvioulsy "strict" vegetarians/vegans choose to comment on this question addressed to flexitarians?
Majnun is right.
Sorry fake Trace... ad hominem gets you nowhere.
I don't hate you, I pity you. You spend a lot of time in an area unimportant to you. You never get anywhere, and the only thing you have ever proved is... well, nothing. You have absolutely nothing to show for your existence. You are a very sad person, and I hope that one day you will do better for yourself.
Well, Ms. Tracie, looks like you have a whole bunch of "squatters" here. Like your passion, Ms.
I stick to "white meat". However, I did have pork once this year, and that was at a charity ribfest I sponsored for inner-city kids. Couldn't NOT eat ribs with them.
Seafood is my favorite and most of the time, I'm able to harvest my own from my "front yard". I'm not sure what is the "healthiest" meat to include in a flexitarian diet, I think the aim is "moderation" and balance and to make sure that the major portion of the diet is always plant-life.
i just eat meat!
