Is there such thing as a vegetarian that only eats fish as meat?!
I consider myself a vegetarian, because I don't eat meat except for fish, and someone just told me that I'm not a vegetarian.
I just wanted to know if there was a name for someone like me.

that is a pesco-vegetarian. If you eat eggs too that is called a pesco-ovo vegetarian... there are plenty out there. As my dad puts it he only eat cold blooded animals :)

Some vegetarians don't care to eat fish because they are not tortured like cows, chickens, and pigs are. People aren't vegetarian because they don't like meat they are that way because they don't want animals to suffer.

A friend of mine is a vegetarian and he has a bumper sticker on his car that says "I don't eat anything with eyes". We wonder if he eats potatoes, they get eyes,lol.
i don't think there is a name for it but it is very common and there is no reason you cant call yourself a vegetarian

This question gets asked a lot here in V&V and I am sorry to say that, no, you cannot be considered a vegetarian if you eat any meat at all. Eating fish is no different. If you want to be a vegetarian then why not just give up the fish?

Yes, most of the world's vegetarians are NOT "strict" vegetarians. They usually eat some fish or poultry or combination of both. In other cultures they are referred to simply as "vegetarians". For some reason here in the West we need to use terms like "pesco-vegtarians" or the more popular and upcoming group ... "flexitarian vegetarians".
