I want to be a vegitarian but I don't what to do and where to start. Please help!!!?!

Question: That's great you're interested in going veg!

Check out these sites for lots of transition tips:

Basically, think of your favorite meals and recipes and then find ways to make vegetarian versions of them... so if you love pasta and meatballs, replace the meatballs with Nate's Meatless Meatballs. Here is a list of some of the best fake meats: http://www.vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp

Some people go veg overnight and some people take a few weeks (or longer) to transition.. feel free to go at your own pace. Here are some more sites:

wel, do a quick internet search "becoming a vegetarian", so you can get some good tips. many grocery stores now have good vegetarian food sections with so much to chose from. check out websites of food magazines for recipes as well. Just make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet.

dnt eat meat at all

Put down that pork chop.

First, you need to learn how to spell the word: VEGETARIAN.

Stalk a Wild Asparagus.

peta2.com REALLY helped me in becoming a vegetarian. order their vegetarian starter kit, it'll help you out.

well it will be really hard, depending on how much you enjoy eating meat.

if you really crave it a lot would suggest you take out one type of meat each week/month (timing depends on you).
this way you wont quit cold turkey, and it will be a little bit easier.

you could also try to eat soy meat. it tastes just like the actual thing (from what ive heard), and it is filled with protein.
this may seem hard at first, but it will get easier after a month or so. I too am currently undergoing a transformation. i was a vegetarian for my entire life, and now i am trying to turn vegan, i have gone 3 days, and i havnt had any major cravings :).
i congratulate you for trying to become a vegetarian, and i hope everything runs by smoothly.

I started by cutting out red meat first. It wasn't fast - I actually forgot a few times and found myself eating spaghetti with meat sauce! Eventually I cut out that beef and left turkey and chicken on the menu. I ate chicken for two years after cutting out the beef...then one day at Olive Garden I was eating chicken parmesean...I REALLY looked at the chicken and stopped eating it forever. Watch the movie "Alive." When they go to eat the meat off the dead it bears a very similar resemblance (sp?) to chicken.

i am also a beginning vegetarian. i started today!! i decided to cut meat out "cold turkey" because it would have been harder for a slow transaction.
anyways..
it was SOO SO SO easy to grocery shop. i just googled "vegetarian recipes" and i wrote down the ones i like. then i bought the ingredients. my grocery bill was ALOT cheaper this month too!! just think about WHY you are doing what you do, it will help motivate. :)
this is my favorite site so far, it has SO many choices!!

good luck
