Is dry toast healthy?!

Dry toast is very healthy - it's got the same nutrients as a slice of the same bread. I would suggest, if you want more than just a couple of free carbs and some grains, some organic or home-made jam on top of it to give it some flavor.

That depends. Is it whole grain or white bread?

I always get mine dry. I don't want the fat/oil and calories from butter or margarine

I always eat whole wheat bread..Just got in the habit several years ago..Yes its healthy .

Healthy is a relative term. Healthier than toast with butter, not as healthy as an apple.

Also, I've wondered why toast the bread at all? I suspect it's a way to make white bread palatable. Good whole grain bread is wonderful without being semi-burnt.

Sure, why not?
It's what you put on your toast that can make it unhealthy.

Sure, it is about the same only minus a calorie or two for being toasted.
