Just wondering why on packages of broccoli it only says 4 different vitamins and minerals but online it has?!


Question: over 15? i always wondered that and i know they dont have enough space to put all of them on there but more then four? alot of foods are like that i read online that they have alot more in them then say on the package

There is probably a standardized set of vitamins and minerals that need be revealed by law. 2 of them say 0% on my bag of broccoli so that's probably the reason.

Also, in the case of the broccoli, assuming you mean frozen, that broccoli is NOT raw. It's partially cooked and may have lost nutrients during that process, whether that's relevant to your question though, I don't know.

That bugs me...considering veggies are packed with dozens of nutrients. And some of the numbers are wrong. Nothing contains 0 protein and 0 fat.

My only guess is it's political. There are rich businesses that have a lot to lose if people eat healthy.
