How hard do you find it to be vegetarian?!

Question: and what is a vegan, again?

Answers: and what is a vegan, again?

Not hard at all when you know your diet does not cause death to sentient beings. That's what makes it easy.

I think it is really hard to stay away from meat when you first start because you don't know a lot about what does/deosn't have meat in it! an a vegitarian is a person who doesnt eat anything with a face no meat basically. a vegan is a person who doesn't eat any animal products such as honey, MEAT of corse, milk and dairy all together, basically they cut out anything that has anything that comes from any kind of animal period!

I am a vegetarian and I don't find it hard at all. I never really liked the taste of meat though.
When I go out to eat with friends who eat meat, they always assume it will be so hard for me to order anything, but most restaurants have meatless dishes. I have not run into a restaurant yet that won't just leave the meat off of something for me. (Well, no Wendy's said their salads come prepackaged with the bacon bits....but everyone else is down to leave stuff off for me!) Plus, it's cheaper!

And a vegan is someone who will not eat any animal byproducts-- this can include eggs, cheese, and milk.

It is hard but you get used to it after awhile. It all depends on why you chose to be a vegan.

i dont find it difficult at all. i've been a vegetarian since i was 2 and i dont remember what meat tastes like anymore.

vegan= they dont eat ANY animal products(meat, fish, poultry, honey, milk, eggs, etc)
some of them dont wear fur or leather either

The last meat pie I had was 20 years ago,it had animal hair ,gristle & arteries in it-I have not eaten meat since then & dont miss it. Theres lots of tasty alternatives-theres also good recipes at the site given below.
I just say I dont eat meat rather than I am a vegetarian.

I don't find it hard at all (anymore). When i first started, it was rough because it seemed like EVERYTHING had meat (or gelatin etc) in it. Once i learned what my options were, it became super easy.
A vegan is someone who doesn't eat meat, dairy, eggs, honey and they don't use products tested on animals or wear fur or leather. They try to never ever exploit animals.

normally no problem as in most shops in UK you can select food labelled as suitable for vegetarians but recently I have to stay in a nursing home as my leg was in plaster and my home is full of stairs, the chef and his team have no clue what so ever about simple basic veg food, I was almost starved.

I personally don't enjoy being a vegetarian, but I don't have a choice because:
a) I'm grossed out by the idea of eating animals
b) I couldn't eat meat and not feel guilty
I find it very difficult being a vegetarian. I rarely prepare good home cooked meals anymore. I can't stand faux-meats. I don't like most vegetables. In fact, I don't really like food in general anymore! I'm also p*ed off at companies for not making more vegetarian-friendly options. Like, how hard would it be for Kelloggs to make some vegetarian-friendly frosted strawberry pop tarts? I miss pop tarts! I miss a lot of things. So, as you can see, I'm not having the best vegetarian experience. :)

Vegetarian is someone who doesnt eat meat and some dont eat fish.

Vegan is somebody who doesnt eat meat, fish, any dairy products ie eggs, cheese, milk.

I have been a vegetarian for over 12 years now. As a vegetarian I do not eat ANY animals and yes that includes fish. I also do not wear or use products that had once been alive or apart of a living creature IE...leather, fur, etc.
Vegan's go a step further and they don't eat, wear, or use any animal by products as well.
In the beginning it was a little difficult but any change takes some getting use to. Now no problem at all. I have no desire what so ever to eat animals.

Is being a vegetarian/vegan hard?

I don't think so.

The question I would ask is: Do you find it hard to eat something that was once a living being?

I would find that way more difficult.

i dont find it difficult, its a routine
vegans dont eat any animal byproducts or use and animal products either

It is easy for me, I don't like meat or animal suffering!! A vegan does not eat or use any animal products i.e. eggs, dairy, honey, wax etc.

I've never found it hard at all and veganism has also been surprisingly easy for me. Veganism is the elimination of all animal-derived ingredients, not just in the diet. We don't eat meat, milk, eggs or honey or wear leather, silk, wool, fur or feathers. We also look for toiletries and other products made without animal ingredients and without animal testing.

Its easy to be a vegetarian.

But the first week, I do agree is painful. After a month or two, it becomes a habit and a normal part of life.

A vegan is someone who consumes no animal products and avoids products of animal exploitation. It's a lifestyle, not just a diet.

And usually it's easy, although I always read labels, no matter what. As long as a place has one or two vegan items, I usually can manage.

being a vegetarian iss quite easily done.
i admit for the first week it is hard, like walking past miss millies and smelling the chicken. lol.
but after a while it becomes really easy. just think that you want to prove something and you stick to it. i have been a vegetarian since last year, and there are loads of veggie things people can eat. ie. quorn.

i hope i have helped =]

by the way aload of people have alreay told you, but a vegan is someone who dont eat, wear or use nefink to do with animals.

I find it very easy to be vegetarian, there are soooo many things you can eat, and loads of meat subsitutes (these are good to ease to you into being veggie). I do get quite a bit of ridicule, but at the end fo the day, it doesn't really matter because being veggie does makes a difference! The only awkward thing is going out for a meal with meat-eaters, as everyone has to go to a restraunt that caters for me. Living in north-east england doesn't really have many veggie restraunts. Also, going out shopping I do have to watch out for leather, but there are plenty of alternatives.

Vegan is somebody who doesn't eat anything from an animal - no milk, egg, honey ect.

Vegetarian is someone who doesnt eat meat and some dont eat fish.

Vegan is somebody who doesnt eat meat, fish, any dairy products ie eggs, cheese, milk.

I would find it so hard to be veggie, I love chicken! Although I dont eat red meat.

I find it very hard because I eat anything that taste good. MUAHHHAHAHAHA. You only live once, enjoy yourself.

Regards,

Brandon
