What the hell, is there any relation to non-violence ("ahimsa") of Hinduism/Buddhism? Also according to the reseach, India (Hindus) has highest population of vegetarians (about one hundred million), second the ratio by Israil (Jews), 3rd by Burma (Buddhist). I feel vegetarianism & non-violence play a important role...works towards the root !

well I think Christians

Are you excluding religions that KILL the wife for leaving her husband or are those statistics meaningless for your research.

Of course it is Christians. It won't be Islam for obvious reasons. this is an uneducated guess since I don't know the stats for Jewish, Buddah.....etc

Christians

Highest…Ch*******, next Is***. I hereth saying unto you….
“Cruelty to animals and moral blindness: drawing the line”, But as a responsible human being, a child of God who was given dominion over all other animals, I believe that we should treat our domesticated animals with utmost respect, care and love; our beasts of burden with kindness and consideration; and captive animals as we would our human prisoners. But if we cannot even respect human life, is animal cruelty and the rape of the environment surprising? I guess they are all evil but there is definitely a hierarchy of evil with abortion and other forms of human torture topping the list.”

Divorce & Broken-family merely do not have relation with religion, but life-style and society. I am a prison counselor. It's true that majority criminals have background of divorced / broken family upbringing. Vegetarians are less likely to commit violence, proven by chriminology path study in Singapore, Malaysia, India and many other western countries. (For those statistics are confidential, can email to me if you need). Children in stepfamilies and single-parent families are almost three times more likely to drop out of school than are children in intact families. In 1950, 12 out of every 100 children born entered a broken family; by 1992, 58 out of every 100 children born entered a broken family.

catholic

im sure it's christains!!!

preach but not follow
lol!!!!!!!

Depends on where you live. people say christians but where I currently reside, a predominantly Catholic society, family break rates (divorce is not even allowed) rates are very low compared to western countries. Russians are catholics (orthodox) and atheists but the divorce rate is very high. Some muslim/islamic societies also have high divorce rates contrary to popular belief.

Fundamentalist Christians.
