Vegans, vegetarians, how loyal to the animals are you?!

Question: do you ever slip up??

if you want something?

Answers: do you ever slip up??

if you want something?

hahahahaha no
i never get cravings for meat
but once i ate a chicken volovount thinking it was a mushroom one. . . . .i felt guilty for days

it's not about loyalty for me.

I'm nobody's slave and nobody's master ( not even a cute 'ickle piggy...)

OMG i love animals (Couldn't eat a whole one though)

nope just get a veggie burger if you want an hamburger

i just remember how disgusting blood and killing the poor animals are...then wonder why...how...and grab a banana

I'm very loyal to animals. I rarely eat anything else.

I dont crave meat , ever, sometimes thinking about it makes me sick, I forgot what it even tasted like...

I'm not loyal at all because I don't like animals. I only do the vegan thing for my health. I do have a leather jacket and I like fur (no haters please! I don't actually wear real fur because I know it's cruel!!!) and if I'm at someones house or at a restaurant I just go vegetarian instead of vegan because I don't want to force my friends and family to cook anything special for me. So I guess I'm not very loyal at all!

Hasn't happened yet. It can be difficult however when people keep hiding bits of animals in the ingredients all the time. You have to keep an eye out for a change in the ingredients.
Just because a chocolate bar was vegetarian last week doesn't not mean the same make will be this week.

"Slip up" meaning eat something that goes against our morals?

No, I never do.
For me, and for most of the people I know who are vegetarians/vegans only want meat/animal products for the first 3 or 4 weeks that you stop consuming them. After that, you just get used to not having it and the throught of eating it just seems really really disgusting.

To be honest, I have slipped up quite a few times when I was new at vegetarianism. I'd go for a few days, or maybe a week, and then I'd fall back on my old eating habits (which I felt horrible for) until finally I decided that I was going to do this, and I didn't give into any cravings (cheeseburgers were the worst) because I thought of the poor animals that people were killing just to feed that craving, and I thought of how I could live without having to hurt those animals. After that it just stuck. I stopped craving it, and now I'm proud to say that I've been veg. for a long time.

The only thing that I want more than the end of animal abuse is the end of violence against innocent people.

I'm loyal to my health... and I've yet to "slip up".

What I really want is not to have a heart attack... the Mickey D's just isn't worth it in the long run.

To be honest I have never, ever wanted to eat meat since I became veggie.

I never want crave it. personally i find vegan food alot tastier!

but once i accidently ate something that had sheelak in it and that made me feel bad. plus when i was real drunk one time i accidently picked up the wrong butter, i picked up my parents instead of my soya butter and didnt realise till the first bite. i spat it out but i was NOT AMUSED. lol

and no we're not all leather wearing and eat burgerkings thankyou lol x

The only times I slip up are on accident, like when I order something vegetarian but I get something with meat instead (especially in chinese food...sometimes it's hard to tell). I never purposely eat meat. If I make the mistake, I usually just tell myself that what's been done is done, I can't do anything and I just make sure to be careful next time.

I really am disgusted by the flavor and taste and scent of meat. Sometimes, it's covered in so much stuff, I don't notice it, or there is such a small amount.

I don't wear animal products (leather, silk, etc) that require killing animals.

No, never! I am a strict vegetarian, I don't buy or wear fur, leather, wool, or silk, and will not use anything with milk products in it except for the occasional cheese. Deserts and snacks I eat vegan. Sometimes I really want that dessert, like a cookie or something that I know isn't okay, but I never actually have to tell myself not to eat it. I have good will power, I suppose.

I'm like totally cool, but if, like, after a while, they don't deliver, I'm like, whatever. cul8r.

I'm totally loyal and don't slip up. I can't believe anyone would choose to call themselves Vegan or Vegetarian and then not follow through on all the values and responsibilities that the name implies. I do not eat or wear any animal products at all and I ensure that if I go out to eat or if someone is cooking for me they know everything about Veganism and how to cater for me.

I think that people who are Veggie, particularly Vegans, have a responsibility not to go back on their values for the sake of cravings or of societies views of what is "normal".

It's not just about loyalty to the animals, it's about loyalty to my principles and values. I am a Vegan because it makes perfect sense to me to live without cruelty to animals, humans and the environment and I'm certain there are many others who agree.

H.

My cat feels very safe and secure .... he knows I would never eat him. Those salmon, shrimp, scallops and king crab in my freezer weren't so lucky.

LOL they all wear leather and eat at Burger King, it's a fad !
