How long does Silk soymilk stay OK to drink?!
When it's not "fresh" anymore, does that mean it's just not as good to drink, or does it mean that I could get sick from it?
Answers: I have a big carton of Silk in my fridge. I know it says on the back that it's only "fresh" 7-10 days after opening. I'm not sure how long ago I opened it, but I'm pretty sure it was longer than that. To me, it smells and tastes fine. It's not separating or getting chunky or anything.

From Silk's website:
How can I tell if soy beverage is spoiled?
We take great care to provide you with a consistent, uniform product. If your Silk doesn't look, smell or taste the way it usually does, it may be spoiled. Fresh Silk does not have a strong odor. Signs of spoilage include:
The package looks abnormally bloated
When poured, the soy beverage appears to have thickened slightly
The color of the soy beverage has changed (chocolate turns lighter and vanilla may look beige)
It is so thick that it won't pour easily, or it looks like a milk shake and has curds or lumps
Any smell resembling dying flowers, sour milk or chemicals
A slightly "off" or beany flavor, or a bitter, metallic, earthy, grassy or extremely sweet taste
When in doubt, throw it out: If you are unsure about whether your soy beverage has spoiled, do not drink it or cook with it.
Not fresh means the taste may not be as good as fresh, but it won't hurt you. Soymilk does not separate or sour like cow's milk. The carton should have a use by date. I use mine up fast. You may want to buy a smaller container next time. If it looks and tastes OK, it is OK!
Soy milk can ferment... If you see little bubbles or fizz throw it out...
You can get sick from it btw.
