I had a relapse once and it made me feel horrible as well. Don't worry so much about it, just move on and go back to your regular diet, which makes you feel good. Hope you're recovering well from surgery :)

Don't worry about it, we all have weaknesses.

but I would suggest that if you have just had surgery, don't go hitting it with unfamiliar food like meat again. keep it simple and what you are sued to.

go to a good steak house and order the nice steak and order it rare and enjoy people need meat to live.

I would worry more about why you are so hard on yourself. And also, why you think you have to "fess up" on YA Answers' V&V board of all places.

It's not about what you eat, but what you think of yourself.

Why would you eat bar-b-que salad? Did the doctor not tell you that you should follow a special diet? I just looked up on the internet (post-gall bladder surgery diet) and too much fats was one of them. If you eat too much fat your body can't processes it and you'll end up with diarrhea. It also said to increase fruit and vegetables, but watch out for the fiber. I would suggest cooked vegetables and fruit juices, and not lettuce.

Another question would be why were you hungry and not given anything else to eat? Even a banana would have been better than a bar-b-que salad, health wise.

1. How are we supposed to help you?
2. You said you didn't want to inconvenience your mom, then you said it was tempting. Pick one.
3. What was the point of this question?

I've been vegetarian for 23 years. I can't imagine eating meat again, but that's me.

Whether you want to be vegetarian or not is up to you.

There's no reason for you to have to prove anything to anybody.
