I thought of being a vegetarian once...but it didn't work out too well. I found that just not eating ed meat has made me feel healthier and I haven't gotten cravings for it because I still eat chicken, fish, and eggs. The reason you are having these cravings is because your body is begging you for protein. It's like with pregnant women; there have been instances when pregnant women will be gardening and have the overwhelming urge to eat dirt because they need the minerals to help provide for them and their baby. Not saying your pregnant or anything, it's just kind of the same thing. I suggest just obstaining from red meat, you'll be a lot healthier and happier, but I can't change your mind, just a suggestion. Good luck.

It wasn't the meat, it was your mind. Go back to eating meat. You'll be happier and healthier.

We are omnivores, not herbivores...eat meat with your veggies!

Fake meat products can be fairly tasty. Most have to be prepared in a flavored dish before you don't notice the texture. My Vegi friends used to get the Jones everytime we passed a steak resturant or a Barbeque shack. They hate it when I brought home Krystal burgers! (Like White Castle)

cook your veg with the sauces you use for the meats- be inventive and see if it can settle your cravings.

Schedule a field trip to a CAFO. (Confined Animal Feeding Operation.)

I'm omnivorous, but those things could put anyone off meat, at least commercially raised meat.

try to eat tofu it is like meat for vegans and if you need meat just eat meat there is no shame in that and it is healthy and some people only eat meat witch i think is pretty cool.

there's no point being veggie/ vegan if it's going to make you stressed out and unhappy!

do what you wanna and if that means eating a little meat now and then, that's what you should do.

As a vegan for over ten years I'd start eating meat straight away if that's what i wanted to do....

It's a choice not a punishment!

you need more protein ,beans peanut butter and fish.

just take it easy

Go back to eating at least a little meat....your body is trying to tell you something with a craving. The chicken you ate last week did not make you sick...your mind did. Now go eat a BALANCED diet!

Try thinking of it as dead flesh rotting in your colon. Gross! That's why your poop stinks more if you eat meat.

Google "Flexitarian Diets" and check out the websites. You might find that a more sane way to be a vegetarian . . . certainly one in line with the millions upon millions of vegetarians in Japan, China, India, that include small amounts of seafood, fish, or poultry in their diets.

I cant actually ever remember eating meat but just think of the animal. Its feelings. Its face. Asking you not to eat it. Every time you see meat think of the blood , veins and muscles and the pain that the innocent creature has had to suffer. Stick with being a veggie. You can do it! I believe in you.

Me too this helps me so much with meat cravings

the only time i really get a meat craving though is if we have steak or order chinese or something else really good

I honestly don't know, I've been a vegetarian for 3 years now but fried chicken still makes me go crazy, I haven't eaten any but the craving is there.
