Why do people ask politics, ethics and other such questions in this section?!
Answers: Isn't it supposed to be about food and drink? Vegetarian and vegan recipes? Shouldn't these other types of questions be in cultures and groups or something?
I believe that there should be two sections for vegans and vegetarians as well because for most people it is about food but way too many people get in too deep about it. And though it is still more than food it is a lifestyle to some but this part is still in the food and recipes section. So for the people who believe that being vegan and vegetarian is more than food can have something separate and everything is more organized. But food has something to do with culture as well but that also depends on where you come from.
well, i dont know? maby when you type the ? up that is the section that pops up to put it in and people dont check it so just press enter! take the time to think that you are also puting
a ? about politics, and ethics in this section right now! lol! well sort of! :) lol!
Vegan is a lifestyle that implies moral concern for animals.
Majority of all vegetarians say they do it for concerns about animal welfare and/or environment.
Vegan is much more than just food. There are ethical aspects as vegan is a lifestyle.
I doubt the people at yahoo answers know much about vegetarianism and veganism. I'm not blaming them but that could explain why they just see them both as a diet choice. Ideally there would be a separate section for us in the cultures and groups section but as there isn't, using this section is how we get the most relevant answers. If we asked veg questions in the general cultures section we'd probably get irrelevant answers and even more abuse from people... at least if we ask them here, we know a lot of veg people will see them. And if you think about it, most of the questions do have something to do with food and drink even if they are based on ethics at the same time.
As one very popular( or notorious) vegan puts it
"I ask this question in the V&V section because I am Vegan"...
Or the occasional: "Why do meateaters stil eat meat when it is murder?"
Source(s) I am vegetarian
Or the most notorious question of all:
"Do vegetarians / vegans eat animal crackers?"
apparently, anything remotely anythig to do with vegetarianism.veganism gets asked here...
People are vegetarians and vegans because of the ethical considerations for the suffering of animals. That's why questions other than recipes about food and drink are asked in V&V.
