Does lactic acid in olives make them non-vegan?!

Question: I've noticed that the green olives that I love to eat (in the jar, with pimentio, etc) almost always contain lactic acid. From what I know, lactic acid is animal-sourced... does anyone know about this?

No.

ETA: "Lactose, or milk sugar, should not be confused with the much more common lactic acid, or with galactose, which are not dairy derived. Lactose is generally indicate by -lacto- while lactic acid is indicated by -lact- in an ingredient name. Lactic acid can be safely assumed to be vegan unless its part of a compound such as a stearate."

if you already know the answer, that the lactic acid is in the pickling liquid not the olive, why bother asking at all? Or is your claim " I'm not an idiot" just wishfull thinking? Wanna compare with mine?

nothing in an olive could make it non - vegan

Yes it is. You know what, your whole digestive system is full of juices that are animal-based. I'm going to share a stark reality with you. Humans are animals. Animals products are not harmful for humans.
You are not a plant. You need animal products to live, unless you are an insect or fish, or maybe a cow.
