Try investigating some of the leaders and "stars" in the raw-foods movement like David Wolfe, Alissa cohen, Gabrielle Cousens, Ann Wigmore, Juliano, The Boutenko Family, Rhio, Elaina Love, Shazzie, Jeremy Saffron, Brian Au, Storm and Jinjee, etc. etc.

I've included some links here for you to check out. Make sure and watch the videos on Youtube by Shazzie. There are lots of other raw foods related videos on Youtube, as well.
Where do you live? there are lots of raw foods potlucks and raw foods groups and restaurants to be found if you know where to look.

I definitely am at my best when I am raw, ESPECIALLY when I'm 100% raw!

cut up carrot sticks , celery , turnip slices if you like them etc and make a veggie dip for it

My advice is to read raw books. Also finding an online community is a BIG help. I know it helped me when I first went raw. I used to go to Raw Freedom Community. I haven't been there in a while, but that was the best raw forum I'd been on. A little slow, but very open and accepting. I do not recommend Raw Food Talk (Alissa Cohen's forum) since it seems to just be a place to market the stuff she sells. There are a lot of weird cultish moderators.

Anyway, good luck. I feel my best when I'm 100% raw.

I assume you mean raw foodism, and not eating while naked. :)

I tried it this summer and loved it. I felt the best I ever have, lost weight rapidly and experienced feelings of joy, motivation and confidence.

I came to believe that raw foods contain far more prana, or chi, than cooked foods, and that was what caused the great benefits.

I didn't continue doing it because it's very hard to do in the winter here, getting fresh raw foods.

I found several interesting websites by googling "raw foodism".
If you want to try it, I encourage you to do so. I hope you have as great results as I did.

Best of luck

On the move.

For courage...first MUST read article from someone “king t” I feel it very informative there...

Partly.

I went to Cambodia last Sept. Even though a Buddhist country, but today the Vegetarian diet is not common because the country's economy depend on foreign investment. Most restaurants serve varieties to welcome foreigners.

Nevertheless I maintained vegan throughout my 2 weeks tour there. I found no problem, they can understand "vegetarian", but often include more portion of raw veggies. I think they used to it. Initially I was reluctant, but eventually it changed my perception abt raw eating. It gave nourishment and never stumble my stomach. I get to use to it after couple of days.

Today, my wife and kids include more raw veggie / fruit portion in our meal. I even double-up lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes in vegan burger, and other vegan cuisine.

Hi, some great books on the subject are
"Recipes for a longer life" by Ann Wigmore - lots of information on recipes, nutrients, sprouting and wheatgrass.

Has an interesting drink recipe - rejuvalac - made from soaking wheat for a couple of days - and I found this did give me energy - apparently it is high in vitamin c.

"12 steps to Raw Foods" by Victoria Boutenko - less recipes but an interesting slant on going raw.

Eat lots of vegetables, fruit, and sprouts

some nuts, seeds and dried fruit. (try not to have too many concentrated foods).

Sprouts will give you lots of nutrients, and so will wheatgrass juice.

I tried it a few years ago and I didn't like it. However, I ate nothing but raw foods and mosty fruit. I didn't have balanced meals, just raw ones! In the last month or so, I've tried eating a mostly raw lunch while at work (a massive fruit or vegetable salad with a little dressing and a whole wheat biscuit). I eat a cooked breakfast and supper with a raw "side" (side salad, peice of fruit, etc). I find this works much better for me and makes me eat my veggies as well as my fruits. I think the key to a successful raw diet is balance.

I find it fun & I get allot of extra energy from it. Get into Juicing & Green Smoothies.
The "partime" deal can make you gain weight if you are not careful. The raw diet makes up for the calories by doing allot of Nuts & Oils like Avacodos. If you continue to eat other fats like dairy it can add too much to your diet.
My fav Uncook book is "Raw Made Easy", buy Jennifer Cornblatt
Mikepatt listed all the sites I would have.
Enjoy this new path you are exploring.
