By eating Sushi are people really supporting Killing Whales?!
Answers: I would just like to have opinions on this matter, I know all sushi is not whale but in Japan tons of whale meat is used for Sushi so do you think that people who eat Sushi in shops all over the world in their own small way actually help push the Japanese support for the Hunting of Whales? (Purely for Scientific Research Ofcourse)
No.
never ate a whale yet. i like sushi
Why are whales some kind of super animal? Seems to me, if they were smart they would stop swimming up onto the beach. Eat your sushi and enjoy it. Even if it does not have any hint of whale in it.
definitely not sushi is pickled rice. what people choose to eat with it is of their own progative. not that i support the slater of whales by any means; the association just does not make sense,
no.
No, that's stupid. People eat sushi because of it's taste and the nutrients it has that enhance brain development. It's something lesser brained people wouldn't understand. And that's understandable.
Never heard of whale sushi.
no its just like being against animal fur but wearing a jacket that was made from it..its not right.
"I know all sushi is not whale but in Japan tons of whale meat is used for Sushi"
Wait, what?
I love sushi and sashimi. I've studied it and read about it. In all of my reading, talking, and eating, I have never heard of whale being substituted for tuna or eel. Do you have a legitimate link supporting your claim that this happens?
EDIT: Alright, you have a link. Very good. However, it doesn't say that whale meat is used for sushi, only canned meat. A man named Patrick Ramage says something that could be taken that way, but I don't think that's close to what he's actually saying.
Not on purpose, no.
"True World Foods will market Kyokuyo's frozen sushi under the brand name Polar Seas Frozen Sushi, but the company says it has made no plans to market whale meat."

If you believe that giving $$$ to the same company for sushi that kills whales then yes. But you'd also have to concede that using organic produce supports the meat industry. Actually the organic produce actually uses meat industry products and the sushi does not have whale in it. So the organics is worse.
"You are a "carnivore" why in all common sense would you eat raw fish?"---this makes no sense.
Vegetarians do not eat fish.
Sushi is a a type of seasoned rice. You can eat it with anything. You don't have to eat fish or whale with it.
Avocado rolls are better than fish sushi.
I love sushi. Mmm avocado & cucumber rolls with extra wasabi.
Oh, and contrary to popular belief, sushi means "vinegared rice" NOT "raw fish."
Sorry to burst your bubble.
I LOVE sush ... and to be very frank with you I've never seen whale sushi on any list ....
sorry but less than 1 percent of ALL sushi/sashimi are made of whale meat ( whales are mammals by the way, not fish and sushi does not necessarily contain any fish at all)... eating or not eating sushi will not make a difference one way or the other
