Can vegetarians eat meat flavored crisps, EG beef or chicken?!
Answers: There is no rule book. Everyone decides for themselves. Most would not eat something that contained meat flavoring. As for the many meat substitutes, many love them, others find it strange that someone would give up meat but then eat things that pretend to be meat. It's an individual choice.
simple answer- yep, as long as it doesn't have real meat in it.
it depends, they can if it says on the packet, safe for vegetarian. because before beef and onion was suitbale for a vegetarian but cheese and onion wasnt. so chewck the packet for information.
not if the flavoring is real (check the ingredients)
If it's made with any kind of meat, no.
When i was vegiterian, I couldn't even eat rice because it would have chicken broth in it.
It depends on the vegiterian. If they're a flexitarian, then no it doesn't matter.
If they are flavoured with beef or chicken, then no. If they are flavoured artificially, they can if they want to but I wouldn't just for the taste of it.
Certainly, they CAN. They can eat meat, they just won't.
If you're asking whether they would still be considered "vegetarian", it would depend on where the flavoring comes from. Artificial or animal products.
Vegetarians are mostly health conscious, and would probably be inclined to pass on meat flavored chips regardless of where the flavoring comes from.
What is your reason for being a vegetarian? If it is to prevent animals from being used as food, then eating meat-flavored crisps still means an animal was used for the flavoring (unless it is some manufactured, artificial flavor). It's up to you what you choose to eat.
Yes, I find it highly unlikely that crisps would have real meat in them, I would imagine that they're artificial flavours.
You can eat whatever you want. Don't let someone else's diet influence yours. If you're "vegetarian" just to fit in, you are doing it for the wrong reason. If you're doing it for a moral reason, only you can answer that. If you're doing it for health reasons, ask your doctor.
Why would they want to?
To some of us the idea of eating meat, even if it is ersatz is abhorrent.
i don't see why not, after all its just added spices to make it take like the chicken or beef....
they can eat what they like.
whether these crisps contain meat or not is another question and that depends on the brand. the only way you can be sure is to check the label.
as long as the flavoring is not Animal Based. those articifical flavorings like natural flavoriing could probably pass they are so artifical. but most likely they won't because they're vegeterians because they want Whole Foods.
Some of the meal analogs that are produced use a beef, chicken, meat flavoring to give it that meaty taste. so chips should be okay.
Yes - because there is no MEAT in them...
SIMULATED Bacon Bits are made out of soy - and contain NO meat in them (the "bacon" flavour comes from liquid smoke and other spices) ;););)
if the flavours are fake then yes if there real then no
yeah-its not actual meat is it?
There's vegetarians and vegans. Vegetarians don't eat meat. Vegans don't eat anything from an animal (milk, bones, etc). So, vegans eat it, vegetarians might.
sure you can , eat what you want , it's a moral choice your'e making . not a RULE BOOK your commanded to follow
Only if it is artificially flavored
Why ? even ask this question there is no meat oils or juices in these products and yes they can eat it beef chicken shrimp est..... non of them is in the food , just flavor
If its made with artifical flavouring, why not? however, many vegans just dont like the taste of meat, or only eat healthy things, so then why would they?
only if the flavor does not have any animal ingredient. be sure to check all ingredients frist.
no vegetarians cant eat meat flavored crisps because that's just like eating meat. there are meat products in them
Yes,
But not egg. Meat flavored crisps aren't from the acaually from meat they're from meat flavorings.
not if it contains any animal by products what so ever
as long as if theres no meat
Not if it's actually made with meat... like everyone else said, check the ingredients. I, personally, wouldn't want to eat something that tastes exactly like beef or chicken... because the smell of / idea of eating those things makes me sick.
Uh.......... not if it contains beef or chicken.
Depends on what they use for flavoring-real animal product or not. My guess is they aren't okay for vegetarians. They don't sound okay at all actually; they sound kind of yucky.
Depends on the ingredients.
