buy vegan cookery books and buy the ingredients you need and experiment with recipies
have fun

dont eat meat

eat loads of beans and pulses

dark green vegetables like broccoli and spinach have more calcium then milk so make sure you eat lots
As does swede, almonds, cashews and tofu.

Eat lot's of foods such as soya mince and marmite for vitamin B12

take a multi B tablet daily

make sure you eat lot's of "good" fats so that you get the omega 3 and 6 you need; lot's of avocado, nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds
Olive oil, Hemp oil and evening primrose are all good.

Remember that even honey is an animal product

If you eat a balanced diet you can be very healthy on a vegan diet

You have to watch what you wear too...no more leather shoes, belts etc

:-)

avoid meat.

if it has a face don't eat it.

don't eat anything living or that will live or has lived
don't even wear them
just don't do anything ever again

buy a gas mask

Get befriend a Hindu Brahman or Jain they will train you within two hours.

Stop eating/buying meat.
Also works with alcoholics who dont want to drink (dont drink alcohol), and smokers who want to stop (stop smoking).

I believe the easiest way of doing so, is by surround yourself , with people with the same way of thinking, at least in the beginning.
Its tuff if you live together with other people who are meat/lactose eaters.

You need to have a strong will at start, it comes all within.

Once you are on the other side of the coast, you will never want to go back.

Good luck!

The first thing to do before becoming a vegan is to know what you are getting yourself into.

So you must know that you will not be allowed to have milk, eggs or anything that came from an animal even clothes.

If you are sure that you are up to it then buy a couple of vegan recipe books.

Finally go for it!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!

It's really hard, you have to make sure you are ready for that sort of commitment, and that you feel that strongly about it.

I have food intolerances and am a vegan but not by choice, and it sucks (although, i can't eat fruit and most vegies either).

You need to eat tofu, beans, potatoes, and every colour of fruit and vegetable (not all at once, but over the week), except green beans and peas count as a different 'colour' to green leafys like spinach and broccoli.

i can't tell if you are a guy or a girl, but if you are a girl, you should take iron supplements during your "special time" so you don't get too low on iron ...sorry to bring that up but it's important.

You can make cakes with egg replacer and soy milk, and dairy free marg, it won't be the same, but it will turn out ok.

I have been vegan now for 3 years, but you have to be really careful i never realised how important it was to get all the right nutrients etc. When i began mine my potassium levels dropped dangerously low. Its a great move well done but do plenty research before you begin, good luck. Graet website called veganvillage tons of advice and recipes
