Question: Chai Thai Vegan Pudding

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 bell pepper
1 kiwi
can of mushrooms
2 cups of brewed chai tea
1/2 small jar of peanut butter

Mix all the ingredients in a food processor until you get a mostly homogenous mixture. Chill and serve like pudding.

I think you are the most creative of the bunch...You are brilliant! I too, diet every once in a week in a vegan diet. I have to say...I'm impressed. You mixed culture and food all together and created Chai Thai Vegan Pudding?

it might be really good.. but it just sounds gross. it wouldnt be so bad if u didnt have the mushrooms or peppers.. just use fruit

I'm sorry, sounds kind of yucky because of the pepper and the mushrooms...

If you took those out, it might be alright... though that's a ton of peanut butter... it would be very high in fat and calories, too.

If you've tried it and liked it, keep enjoying it. I mean, I know someone who eats pickle, whipped cream and bread sandwiches and they aren't pregnant or anything...

EDIT: Well, why don't you try making a strawberry mousse? Buy some soy whipped cream and a little 8 oz case of strawberries. Purree the strawberries in a blender and then stir it into the whipped cream; you can either keep it streaky-looking, like a lollipop, or blend until it turns entirely pink. Refridgerate it until it stiffens a little, or put it in the freezer for a bit so it's even more stiff. Put into margarita serving glasses, topped with some strawberry slices... Mmmm.

I'd take out the bell pepper and mushrooms. the rest will taste good together.

I'm with you all the way to the mushrooms. The bell pepper would taste fine with fruit.
I would taste it, though. I didn't think seaweed sounded good before I ate sushi.

Edit: I browsed through some of your other tasty recipes. I love the "2 stalks any kind of grass" in your Thai soup. I think you should include that in everything. It'll add color and undigestible fiber to every dish.

I'm not trying to be mean, but it just doesn't sound very good. I think the problem is that you are blending sweet and savory items together and I'm concerned that the flavors will clash, badly.

What about this recipe for a vegan chocolate pudding? You could give it your own twist by adding kiwi and banana (perhaps even the peanut butter and/or the chai tea). Definitely leave out the pepper and mushrooms.

You could also top it with nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts) and top with a sprig of fresh mint.

On second thought, don't include the chai tea in the pudding. Just serve the pudding with chai tea or mint tea or whatever you think would go well.

Keep the banana,Kiwi, and peanut butter.
scrap the pepper,mushroom and tea.
instead of the tea use some a little bit of coffee and peppermint oil.
I would say add some chocolate but i'm not sure if it's vegan(seeing they add milk)

Use the peppers and mushrooms in an entree not a dessert
I'm not a vegetarian but what you described sounded awful...

Actually taking a chef's eye view, it may not be bad at all. Using peanut sauce on all the solid ingredient would be good... with the banana and kiwi adding sweetness and mushrooms texture. I am not sure what Chai tea tastes like. I have seen many things claiming to be chai tea... but one brewed with ginger cardamom, cinnamon... sweet spices would be good.

I would say kudo's for trying something different. I was a chef for many years.... and some of my "creations" after tasting became what was I thinking... Keep creating :)

hey sweetie im a vegi and ur recipe does sound nasty, how bout gettin a pastry base (somethin like a tart base) and addin a chopped up banana, kiwi strawberry and orange any friuts really and arrange then in a circle in the pastry base and add some syrup and a few shakes of sugar, bake for 10 mins just to make it a golden and serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce is amazing, let me know what u think xx

Drop the mushrooms, to earthy, drop the pepper, no need. Double the bannana add strawberries.Thin with 1 cup coconut milk 1/2 cup chia tea. add salt

There are plenty of good desserts you can make as a vegan besides throwing a bunch of things together. Grab yourself a copy of "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Plus, many vegan cookbooks have great dessert recipes.

It sounds disgusting. I hope this is some sick joke. If not get rid of the mushrooms and bell pepper and you may have something edible.

You're funny. Make this instead:

Cake:

2 cups unbleached or whole wheat pastry flour
11/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 taspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup oil
4 ripe bananas, mashed (about 21/2 cups)
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat the oven to 350F. Mix the flout, baking soda, and salt together.

In a larg bowel, beat the sugar and oil together, then add the bananas and mash them. Stir in the water and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
Add the flour mixture, along with chopped walnuts, and stir to mix. Spread into an oil sprayed 9 x 9-in pan, and bake at 350F. for 45 minutes, until a toothpick
inserted into the center comes out clean.

Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup softened margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 tablespoons soymilk or rice milk

Combine the powdered sugar, margarine, and vanilla in a bowel and beat with an electric mixer until smooth, adding just enough soy milk or rice milk
to make the frosting spreadable. Makes enough for one 9 x 9-inch cake.
