Is a 'vegan' world sustainable or would we have to shed people....ths is not a troll i would like to hear!
Answers: serious 'researched' views. i know for instance that most veg do not pack the protien of meat and that 80% of livestock diet is grazing unfit for arable crops. I also know that methane produced by cows is contributary to destroying the planet....could i have the vegitarian and vegan view please, any friendly answer is appreciated
Since vegans do not eat or use any animal products nor use animal labour, that limits their diet and clothing. They usually are also all for organic foods. A majority of them are also into radical environmentalism, there should be fewer people in the world, not vegans, other people. They would dearly love to mandate their lifestyle by law. In which case pollution would have to be stopped too, including smoke from fires.
Their ideal world would be grubbing out their vegetable crops by hand with stone tools and living naked in mud huts.
Man evolved as an omnivore, eating plant products and meat. Being vegetarian or vegan is a personal choice that does not make you superior to anyone. Plants are not the best or most complete diet. The imitation meats made from soy protein will help with a balanced diet.
You produce methane and CO2 so don't worry about cow farts destroying the planet, because they can't and are not. You are letting the Global Warming alarmists put you into a panic. Climate Change is a natural occurrence. The Earth changes, but to some people all changes are bad and have to be fought against. Fighting Nature is a losing battle.
The more plant products you eat the better, but you also need the nutrients from meat and fish. Don't overdo the meat though. Soy-meats do not replace real meat and fish completely. Have meat or fish only once a week and you will be fine and will soothe your conscience about cattle because you have reduced your consumption without endangering your health.
A vegan world is only sustainable then we simply all get along in this world together and share things. But until that day we will still have wars, still have lock boarders and still have counties there they are poor and have to use animals as part of there diet, but it eggs or milk. Also you would have to account for the people who have diseases of the digestive system and don't absorb some supplements from food sources as well.
i need meat. thanks
Raising vegetarian food uses less of almost any resource than raising meat. This includes land, energy, water, etc. I'm not sure I really follow your logic here.
What do you mean by shed people?! Are you going to kill of the ones that can't be supported or just the meat eaters.
A vegan world will never happen, you're assuming that all human beings will suddenly decide to have the same views and opinions. If you want serious researched views, then you should get them from reputable sources, not yahoo answers. On here you're going to get opinions.
shed people...I'm still shaking my head over that one.
Of course a vegan world is sustainable. It'd be ideal. Now if we could get the religion thing taken care of...
