Unless you've tried tofu, you shouldn't say anything against it. Yes, it's kind of funny when it's not cooked, but animal flesh is disgusting no matter what you do with it. When cooked properly, tofu is amazing. Be open-minded about all kinds of non-meat foods; it'll add lots of variety to your diet.
Grains will fill you up. Try oatmeal, whole-wheat bread, and pasta. Eat lots of fiber. Fruits and vegetables are great snacks, and they have fiber too. Make sure you're getting plenty of iron, protein, and calcium. Greens contain lots of iron (if you get them in a can, check them for pork flavoring), beans and other legumes contain lots of protein, and you can get calcium from dairy products or fortified orange juice, tofu, or supplements.
Seriously, give the tofu thing a try :) I'm sure your boyfriend could cook it for you at first and show you how.
Well, for one if you're a'vegetarian' and eat seaLIFE than you're not a vegetarian. Fish aren't swimming fruits and veggies you know.
That's great you're making the transition to vegetarianism.
Fake meats are filling and have a lot of nutrients.. here's a list of some good ones: http://vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp
Some others filling, vegetarian foods:
Apples
Bananas
Grain bread
Grapes
Oatmeal
Oranges
Peanuts
Potatoes
Pasta
Rice
Soup
