If your eating less calories and less fats then before then yes. I know because befoe I became a vegetarian I was 120 pounds and right now I'm 108 pounds. And I didn't even mean to do it. So yes you are going to loss a lot of weight.

Only if you are eating less calories than you are burning. My guess is that it will be harder to eat as many calories without meat, dairy and eggs, so, yes, you would lose weight. But it is really just math. To lose weight, burn more than you eat.
Yes it can help you trim down. BUT you need a LOW FAT Plant Based Diet.
Look at Dr. John McDougall's food plan.

Congrats on going vegan! You should have an easier time losing weight if you're eating a balanced diet -- fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains -- and if you don't eat tons of vegan desserts. (I recently discovered a cafe that sells vegan chocolate cupcakes, and I've put on some weight!) becoming a vegan doesnt help you loose weight. choosing weather to be come a vegan shouldn't be to make you loose weight you need protein to loose weight thats for sure!
The only way you will loose weight is if you eat less calories than you burn.

dont be a vegan to lose weight!
Keep up your protein intake if you don't eat foods with a moderate amount of protein you will feel hungry more easily because protein makes you feel full. I've heard of people gaining weight when switching over.
It depends on what you eat.
Vegan is a lifestyle, not just a diet. You may want to research that.
It all depends on what you are eating. There are still a lot of things can are unhealthy and vegan. You still need to take into account the basics like calories, sugar and carbs you are ingesting. Becoming vegetarian has really helped me to lose weight because the things that used to make me fat, aren't appealing anymore. But overall, I would say that it probably will help you lose weight because you won't be tempted to eat fast food anymore because they really don't have much that you will be able to eat! And you will be cutting out a lot of junk food because most of it has cheese and dairy.
Just being vegitarian does not make you loose weight, there are lot of people in India who are vegiarians and yet they are very much over weight, it is a matter of balancing your calories and good exercise
