Good vitamin supplements for vegetarians?!
Answers: I use Rainbow Light brand with Vegan Guard, which is their just their term for absolutely no animal ingredients or testing. The major brands that "normal" people use, as mentioned, are never necessarily the best for you, Those are just the brands with the best ad budgets and are typically owned by such animal-unfriendly corporations as Johnson & Johnson.

Only vitamin not found in vegies is B12. Also a multivit with iron is a good idea. If you drink milk and take dairy products you probably get enough calcium and D.
Forget vitamins. They are a scam.
Vitamins are a complex part of an organism, and thus cannot be put into a pill, only *part* of the vitamin can be.
Portabella Mushroom
beta carrotine (found in carrots)
And DARK green leves..
pretty much fruit and veggies
I like the alive vitamin and the vitamin shoppe vitamin found at www.vitaminshoppe.com
There are a lot of great products there, but don't buy a typical supermarket vitamin, a lot of those are made with material our bodies can't use so we end up getting rid of them and wasting a lot of money.
Any name brand that "normal" people take. Because they are the most absorbable. These "veggie approved" vitamins are a scam. They show high percentages of the vitamin, but never discuss absorbability ... i.e. what can be used by the human body.
You won't need supplements if you eat a well balance veggie diet that is rich in grains, fruits, vegetables, starches, and proteins. Most supplements contain animal derived products and byproducts, such as gelatine (capsules) and other animal derived ingredients. You should get adequate vitamins and minerals just from the healthy food choices you make.
If a vegan eats raw veggies instead of potato chips he or she will be fine. What do you think meat eats.
as long as you eat enough, and correctly, you will not need to take supplements as a vegetarian
