Vegetables in blender???!
Answers: i want to make a drink with a bunch of vegetable but ive never done it before..... what is a good mix of vegetables i should try?
you mean like a v-8 -type concoction?? hmm, well...
softer vegetables work better in the blender...
try tomato juice, shredded carrots, celery, beets, garlic, bell pepper, iceberg lettuce...
add some water if it's too thick...
add some spices, depending on your taste... basil, cilantro, cumin, or black pepper, sugar,...
that sounds yummy man! hehe thanks for the idea! ;)
Hi Hector
Do you have a juicer?
Normally I juice vegetables. A favourite with my sister and I is
carrot, celery and beetroot.
It is satisfying and energising.
other good ones:
carrot and ginger (just about 1/2 inch of ginger)
Carrot and celery
You can juice most vegetables, including broccoli, sprouts (afalfa has lots of goodness in it). You can even add things like ginger, for a nice zing and health.
You could also add a spoon of spirulina or wheatgrass powder if you were looking for an extra boost.
Apple, carrot and celery juice. Refreshing and filling.
My fave is carrot, apple and ginger. Lots of carrots, small apple, and a sliver of ginger ... I make it up 1/2 gallon at a time ... delicious!
Use vegetables that don't taste too strong and try to overpower the vegetable taste with fruit. If you like the taste of vegetable juice you'd be best off using tomatoes or carrots.
Examples:
Blend canteloupe, lychees, honeydew and cucumber together.
Blend apple, peach and carrot together.
Blend apple, pear and steamed sweet potatoes together (might be a little thick but it's good - you can always strain it).
Here is an online-film that discusses how to add vegetables to smoothies:

Good luck!
