Is it hypocritical for 'animal lovers' to eat meat?!

Question: Well, isn't it? What have all you would be murderers-in-denial have to say for yourselves, hmm?

Okay, honey, cool it. There's a nice way to ask this question, and this is not it. It puzzles me, too, how someone can love a cat and eat a cow, pet a dog and chomp a hog, etc.

I am a vegetarian in transition. I really love animals a lot, but am not fully ready to give up eating them. I don't think it is hypocritical to love animals and eat them. I do think it is hypocritical to say "they should do something about that ozone layer problem", and then not recycle and eat meat and drive gas guzzling cars.

Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I hate animals.

No its not. Im an avid animal lover and I eat meat. Eating Meat is part of our tradition and just because we eat meat doesn't make us hypocrites. Some animals are born and bred for meat and this has been the way its been centuries ago. I dont agree with animal abuse like animals been tortured or their fur been used for coats etc or animal testing either or hunting.
