Has anyone tried one of the new recipes out of Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero 's new cookbook?!

Question: Their cookbook Vegan with a Vengeance was awesome, but this new book VEGANOMICON is absolutely wonderful! My daughter got it for me for Christmas and we already had the chickpea cultlets with their mustard sauce. Yum! This will be our new favorite as they are fast to make for a family dinner. Wanted to know if any of the other recipes have made a hit with you or your family.

Those chickpea cutlets are SO good (and fast and easy.) I've also made the Potato & Kale Enchiladas with Roasted Chile Sauce, the Mexican Millet, the Chickpea Noodle Soup, and the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies (but with dried blackberries in place of the walnuts.) Everything has been good, which isn't a surprise since Vegan with a Vengeance is my all-time favorite cookbook (my copy is practically in shreds it's been used so much.) The cookies were snapped up at work to rave reviews, and my meat-eating boyfriend has approved of everything we've tried so far... I figure, if I like the recipes and they are even a hit with meat eaters, Isa and Terry must be doing something right!

I've made the chickpea cutlets a few times and they are amazing. I've also made the seitan cutlets and the vegan poundcake, which was great.

I made the rumnog pecan and the chocolate-chocolate chip walnut cookies (but I used Craisins instead of walnuts) for Christmas. Both turned out to be *very* tasty with great chewy textures. I had some omnivorous friends over last night who told me they couldn't tell the difference at all between those and "regular" cookies. Love the cookbook so far!
