Do u know where to buy meat/fish that hasn't been raised on factory/aqua farms? Have advise on vegetarianism?!
I'm also considering becoming a vegetarian, so any good advise on that would also be nice. I already know of the website goveg.com
Answers: I am not a vegetarian and I like the taste of meat, but I don't want to support the cruelty that the animals endure while being raised on certain types of farms, so I would like to know where to get meat where the animals aren't suffering as they are being raised.

Maybe do some research online about finding animal meat that is from small farms in your area.
Just to let you know, quitting eating meat is surprisingly easy. I loved to eat it at one time, then I found out about everything happening to them and decided I didn't want to be a part of that. I rarely get cravings for meat, and when I do I am usually high and only crave Arbys roast beef sandwiches! And the fake meats out there, some of them really taste like meat. The Bocca or Morningstar farms chik-n patties taste like chicken, and I just tried another brands fake pork ribs and they really taste like a pork rib. I had a bit of a stuggle eating it because it tasted so much like pork.
get wild fish, cage-free roaming poultry, pork, beef and lamb. It might cost more than caged animals but your supporting your cause
I buy from trusted ranchers and poultry growers who are also mostly family friends and I buy USDA Prime steaks online again from trusted companies...
I highly recommend eatwellguide.org. You type in your zip code and It'll bring up a list of farms and restaurants that have meat from animals that were humanely pasture raised and local as well.
I would suggest getting to know you local, independent butcher. (s)he will provide you with fresh, locally reared meat, which will have been bred, raised, slaughtered and butchered within a few miles of the shop. They will also have organic options, and will advise you how to get the best from any cuts you buy. LOL I am vegetarian, and would NOT eat meat...but I respect that you would like to do so more 'kindly'. x
Hi Steph
"Veg" above gave you a good resource to start with. But I also think your question goes beyond the issue of eating meat - or not.
I am an advocate for eating natural products (organic) including fruits and vegetables. I firmly believe they contain more nutrients for your body AND the farming methods ("natural") help sustain the earth (as opposed to using chemicals, etc.). I know - some people will disagree for a number of reasons. But common sense says it must be true.
So far as I know, mankind has always eaten red meat, white meat, fish, and shellfish - but this part of your question must be decided only by you after some careful research.
I have a few resources below for you to pursue, if you wish.
