I play power lifting(like weight lifting) ,but i want to be a vegetarian ,Can i do that?!

Question: One of the biggest and buffest bodybuilders of the 80-'s, Andreas Cahling; was a vegetarian, so why not? Just load up with lots of vegetable protein, and dont' skimp on olis in the diet, either. Anything to help with flexibility of the lower back.

Yea, eat lots of nuts for protein

I've heard that there are Olympic champions that are vegitarian. I can't think of names right off, but you may want to look into that.

Absolutely! No problem there.

Yeah if your not using dead animals and than eating them.

Yes. Eat lots of dairy products (organic) Ghee, butter, yogurt, milk, etc.) cold milk builds muscle tissue and hot milk helps the brain tissue. The Ancient Vedic Wisdom is the science of Everything. Acording to the Vedas humans are to eat products made from cows milk. It is forbidden to kill or eat the flesh of a cow because the Cow is to be considered one of our mothers. She gives us milk for our sustanance and to cut her throat when she can no loger give milk is a grave sine. Even in the Bible it says ""He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." and an ox is a male cow, so to kill a cow is to kill a woman, which is even a worse sin. Extremley bad karma. Also eat lots of greens like spinach, kale, collards, you can even get green drink mixes that give energy and strength. Eat lots of lentles and beans. Peas, legums, chick peas, mung beans black beans, pinto, etc. ) I love to make black beans and rice with salsa or bean buritoes with sour cream and salsa. Or make dhal with rice. If you eat these foods regularly you will have more energy than when you ate meat. Meat actually dulls the senses and consciousness and clogs the arteries and intestines. Humans where not meant to eat meat. There are some very good resipies on stephen-knapp.com website go to main menue and click vegetarian cooking. Hope this helps. Pray to the Lord for help with this, people will do anything to try to get you to eat meat, because they feel guilt and don't know anything about real health. And don't believe the doctors they are full of bs they don't know the real science of medicine and health. Check our Ayurveda.

Yes! Many body builders, marathoners, and even Olympic athletes are vegan. Carl Lewis had his best year when he became a vegetarian. Go for it.

Yes, see this site for info:

Sure, you can do anything you like. But the incidents of veggie body builders and power lifters is few and far between in comparison to the total number of atheletes in the field.

If you want to buff up without a lot of hassle, eat meat . . . Adapt a flexitarian diet to the needs of your workouts .. both cardio and weight training. That means eating fish, seafood, poultry and SOMETIMES lean red meat.

"Strict" vegetarian/vegan diets for serious lifters is a screwed up idea.

Yes.
