Quinoa and Amaranth will be your best friends. They are a grain easily found and contain plenty of protein to sustain a healthy diet. Also beans, nuts, and legumes have plenty of healthy fats and protein. Although if your going to become a vegan just to lose weight, there are healthier and tastier alternatives.
Most people who have weight problems eat too many carbs.
Potatoes, breads, pasta, and rice are the most common.
As long as you balance your diet, and eat whole grains often, your weight should not be a problem.
no, it is a proven fact that vegan lose weight, but it takes 15 average years off your life due to lack of major protien
You can't drink milk if your a vegan. Only synthetic or soy milk. Yes going vegan will make you leaner (for obvious reasons).
well it will but if you do it right i mean....you have to eat fat somehow it helps you body so if u eat salads and stuff dont forget any types of seeds they have the fat that u need and dont make u fat...........drink lots of water
Sorry sweetheart but if you eat/drink dairy you can kiss the vegan label goodbye.
Exercise is important to health sweetie. Log off your comp and go sweat right now.
I think you probably will lose weight. That however will depend on how much your caloric level decreases. You do need to do some type of excersise.Even if you just go on a half hour walk three times a week that would be a great start. It`s also important to keep a balanced diet.Dairy products are important especially for women. If you are reducing your milk intake make sure you are getting at least two servings a day from another source. Also protein in essential for weight loss. You need protein to build lean muscle which will increase your metabolism. Also do not eat less than 1200 calories a day or your body goes into starvation mode and uses your lean muscle for energy which will lower your metabolism.Hope I helped!
Vegans don't consume ANY milk, not just a "little". It's also a lifestyle, not just a diet. It extends beyond food.
Dietwise, if you follow a plant-based, strict-vegetarian diet (similar to a vegan's) and you aren't drinking soda, eating junkfood (which, by the way, is defined differently for everyone), and you're consuming fewer calories than you burn, then yes, you will lose weight.
Dear, you have to balance your life and your diet. You may not have to do VIGOROUS excercise, but you must do some exercise . . .i.e. a brisk walk. Diet is only one factor in losing weight, but if you are looking at it as the only factor, you may be looking at the beginning of an eating disorder. Be careful.
Vegan is not a diet but a philosophy or a life-style (no-violence philosophy). So I dont understand your quesiton. You can loose weight in ANY kind of diet. In order to loose weight you reduce fat, reduce sugar and quantity of food. When people getting fat, it mean they are eating much more than their body need. If you dont want loose weight, its easy too. Just eat vegan junk food (lol).
Yes you can lose weight by becoming a vegan diet if you do it correctly but....
you can not be vegan if you drink milk, do you know how many cows suffer just so that you can drink milk.
Go vegan or die trying!
Only if you eat wholesome carrots. Actually it sounds like you are on the verge of an eating disorder. Thinking of veganism as a diet to make you "leaner" is a little screwed up thinking since it is a lifestyle. It truly sounds like you have an eating disorder problem. You might want to get an evaluation. You don't say how much you weight... that usually is a sign of covering up an eating disorder. I hope that you will get some help.
