Can u ever change Ur eating habits? if ur a non veg eater, would u change to vegetarian food?!

Question: I think anybody can change their eating habits if they really want to. I stopped eating red meat almost 2 years ago. I still have cravings and if I want i have a burger but for the most part i don't. I just eat veggie burgers. They are much more interesting in the different flavors, like black bean and corn and when you put on the onions, cheese and other toppings you can hardly tell the difference.

yes, i recently did that, and so did a friend of mine. very few people are born vegetarians, its a choice they make partway through their life, commonly in their teens or 20's.

it might be hard

Never I can change.

never

I became a veg head VERY young by choice. My eating habits now influence my family's. Whereas my husband was raised eating meat for every meal, he now eats it 2 or 3 times a month.

I have been a proud vegetarian for five years now, and I'm only 14! I decided to stop eating meat at age nine on my own, no one forced me or even asked me to but I decided I didn't like the taste of any meats so I would stop eating them. For me it is a choice so I could start eating meat again at any time and no one would think twice about it. People respect me for it.

i did it for a month before (33 days to be exact) and when you find other foods its okay but you get cravings for meat, its hard, i wont lie.

Vegan and vegetarian diets arent really healthy, and im not a fan of being drained and feeling aneorexic. However, i dont think anyone is a "non-veg eater", as its still important for a well balanced diet. I eat both, fairly equally. But yes its possible to change eating habits, i lived off of junk food for years, and now eat pretty decent.

I'm 14 and have been a vegetarian for 2 or 3 months. no meat chicken fish shrimp nothing, ppl say it is probably hard but eating another thing disgusts me now

btw: "being drained and feeling aneorexic" is not how i feel and that is a pretty rude thing to say

I mean I eat some vegetarian foods like salads, fruits, veggies and sometimes my meals don't have meat but I am a meat eater. NOT all meat eaters eat meat 24/7.
The only way you would ever stop me from eating meat and going 100% vegetarian is if there were no more animals to eat or if something happened like all the animals were infected and it would scare me but I would probably go crazy because I do have my moments where I crave meat alot.
You can change your eating habbits no problem, being a vegetarian is through choice.
You don't want to eat meat, that's fine. But taking supliments just to get the protein in your system by not eating meat is just not natural!!

Of course you can change your eating habits. Just as someone who is overweight with an unhealthy diet can change to a healthier diet/lifestyle, someone who eats meat can change to a vegetarian lifestyle.

I recently became vegetarian myself. It may not happen overnight, it may not be easy, but it IS possible.

I did and going vegetarian was the best thing I ever did.

I'm even considering becoming vegan eventually.

The worst part of it is people don't realize that all of these deceases out there are easily caused because of the chemicals in our meat.

I became a vegetarian by choice after looking at the reality.

Vegetarian? Never. I have changed my eating habits to include more fruits and vegetables in the last year.. But there's no way I'd give up my meats.

I think anyone can change. If you think you can you can if you think you can't your right.

I was a child who wouldn't eat anything but fries, carrots, strawberries and chocolate Flavored things and know i can eat anything and I'm a real health freak. so yeah it's possible

i guess so. I'm a semi-vegetarian, eat meat, but only fish and chicken. Why? for health reasons

It is very difficult to change eating habits. I am a vegetarian and I want to try a vegan diet but everytime I look in the fridge all I see is cheese and milk.

So I can understand how difficult it must be for a non-veg eater to change to vegetarian food. But change IS possible.

I'm a one year veggie -- started when I was 15 -- and very proud of it. Even though meat eaters consider it crazy lol I still stick with my beliefs. It wasn't hard for me to start since I never really ate meat, but the struggle with my parents was, as they didn't like the idea, and still don't.
I can't say never, but I don't plan on change back to meat or fish, I like my new lifestyle and plan to continue it for a very long time.

well i know some who became vegetarians due to health reasons.the only thing that matters is, by staying mentally focused.anyone can switch their eating habits. its just that they dont put that into practice.

i fast for forty days during the lent season. i become a vegetarian for 40days and its really easy for me because i stay focused.

That's how most of us do it.

i did

Of course you can change! The vast majority of veg*ans grew up eating meat/have omni families but decided to change.

Do you mean 'if you are a meat eater', or do you mean 'if you do not eat vegetables'?
Whichever, it is always possible to change you eating habits, if you choose, and want to.

I would never be a vegetarian. I like eating animals roasted, fried, or grilled. They go good with my potato.

Habits are hard to break..but they can be broken... However, my diet has always been healthy and balanced so I don't see the need to change (yet?). I like foods that can be considered 100% vegetarian but I do like a good steak. In fact, just purchased some wagyu ribeyes for friday's dinner date with my wife..

I was able to become a vegetarian fairly easily. I didn't have any cravings that I remember. The worst part of changing is the social aspect because many will constantly ask questions about why you did it and don't you crave meat and whatever or they will tell you how they could never give up steak or something. It gets OLD to hear it all and you just want to be able to eat in peace.

But, there are so many yummy foods out there that I would never have looked at when I was a meat-eater. I'm glad I made the change.

Your eating habits should change as you evolve and as you learn more about where your food comes from.

Yes, I can but who will try to avoid butter chicken unless prohibited

no i wouldnt change to eating veg because i think vegatables are disgusting especially cabbage, cauliflower, sprouts & some greens
