Why do cows just sit there doing nothing?!

Question: what do you expect a 400 + pound animal to do all day? attempt flying and run at speeds of lightning?
Cows are timid and quiet and enjoy eating grass, moooing and walking slow, and cows actually can run quite fast.....its what they do LOL....cows really are the most adorable animals on the planet....

Transcendental trooth #498582788838898954-A:
It is in the nature of cows to sit and do nothing.

Because they achieved my dream life.

Also they were bred to be docile if not they would run away and people would lose a food source.

well there isn't much for them to do now is there?

I guess they're just happy being themselves. :-)

lmao

The cattle I see don't just sit there. They like to run and play with the other cattle. It is fun when they lick you (like a dog would) :P

cuz they are not like human running around doing nothing.!

Why do people sit there and do nothing?

they dont always just sit arounf doing nothin cows are acually like us they work (find food) and babysit for eachother i noe it soiund silly but they do when they go find some grass to eat they might get another cow to watch their calf

What exactly to expect them to do? They are not exactly highly intelligent animals with hobbies and social lives. They exist to eat and procreate, and the usual instinct is to do that while expending as little energy as possible.

Also, you've hear the expression "chewing their cud"? That means the cow lies down and regurgiates the grass it ingested earlier and chews it more finely and swallows it again.
