and good for you.

Just please don't become a PETA freak and everything shall be fine, hope you enjoy being a veggie!

Peta is always a good first choice... I would also buy a good book about vegetarianism or even veganism and it will help you on your most excellent choice!

Eat salad, pasta, cashews, carob, stir fry, egg plant parmesan, potatoes, yams, strawberries, cherries, apples, kiwis, bananas, pears, silk brand soymilk in different flavors(vanilla is the best) and etc.. That's what I ate. Also use brown sugar instead of white sugar. I make shakes with soymilk and they are really good just create your own with different fruits.
Vegetarian salami is gross and cheese is absolutely gross. The only veggie cheese that tastes good is parmesan.
For meat substitute buy Boca burger meat and or the crumble.

goveg.com sends you a free vegetarian starter kit.. nothin better than free sh*t!!!!!!!!

Congrats!! I am very excited!! If you sign up with an account on peat2.com then you can talk to other vegetarians and vegans and they are VERYVERY helpful. And goveg.com has a free vegetarian starter kit. And I got a vegetarian recipie book for Christmas by Betty Crocker. Try looking for it on ebay or amazon.com

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, congratulations!!! As a 7-month-old vegan, I went through the same thing. These are a bunch of websites for recipes, support, information, shopping, etc. Unfortunately, they're mostly vegan (to cater to me), but maybe that will just inspire you to take your vegetarianism to the next level. Good luck!!! And go vegan!!!

Yes . . . if healthy and sanity are your aim ... Google "Flexitarian" or "Flexitarian Diets", and you will find numerous websites about moderate, well-balanced diets that will allow you a healthy lifestyle without the compulsivness of being "strict" vegetarian.

The Japanese who have the healthiest diet in the world and have been vegetarian for centuries are flexitarian vegetarians. You can Google Japanese diets as well and find some interesting recipes and tips.

Well, read all you can on the subject, that helps.
