Answers: i heard somehwere that it has animal rennet in it....is this true for all brands?

it's a milk product.
If you believe milk is ok, because the cow doesn't have to die to share some of it's milk, then whey protein is fine.

Whey (milk plasma) is a bi-product of cheese and casein production, a process that involves rennet.

Whey is one of the components which separates from milk after rennet (a byproduct of veal production, which are in turn fed often on whey) is added.

So whey is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

You can get vegetarian whey powder, but if it is vegetarian it will usually say in the ingredient list "vegetarian whey powder". otherwise whey powder is not suitable for vegetarians because of the rennet.

Dairy milk is COW JUICE, contains hormones and designed typically for the calves.
There are plenty of vegan resources out there.

Anything is suitable for vegetarians. They are wannabe vegans so anything that can make it so they don't have to learn anything is fine.

If you are a true vegan you know what you need so you don't have to fool with these supplements as a crutch.
