Do you remember your first inner conversion experience to true veganism?!

Question: Not just animal rights, but when the inter-relatedness of ALL living things suddenly dawned upon you. And you knew your life woudl never be the same.

It was overseas for me. It was both a horrible and wonderful experience. Horrible because I couldn't just walk away from my duty, but I knew that when I came home, my life would never be the same.

What is the story of your conversion experience to true veganism?

Yes i remember clearly 22yrs ago when i lost my cat - Ziggy, she was my first cat and looked like the beautiful blue/grey cat in the Sheba advert.
When i found out she had died i was devastated - i had a remarkable bond with her. I just had this deep knowledge in my inner being of how life is so precious, and the connection between everything that has the breath of life in it, and how it can be distinguished in a moment - and i decided never to eat anything that had that breath in it, or anything with animal derivatives..
Now i know how creation came into being and we were given fruit, and veg to eat - and the animals were given grass and plants - it all makes sense..
It was a profound moment of in-site..
Good question

I always knew that animals were treated badly, but I was somewhat ignorant to it.
I think it was my trip to Hawiia, when I spend 2 weeks on the beaches, I began to appreciate nature and quetion society's abuse to it. I deided to live somewhat like a monk and meditate, eat vegan, help animals.

I had no such experience (I notice you give no details about your own).

This is the sort of 'true' veganism that the flexitarians on this board like to wax romantic and lyrical about.

Dr Skummy and Flexilifesyles are a whole lot better at this than you are - study their work.

Edit**Skully!

When I found out I was 40 lbs overweight and animal fats were unhealthy for you.

Hey Skully,

Get a hobby.

Please.
