The word is spelled "vegetarian." This will be helpful to know if you intend on staying one.
1. Yes, I have been vegetarian for 21 years and vegan for 3+ months.
2. Vegetarians can eat everything except meat and slaughter byproducts. This means no red meat, no poultry, no fish or seafood, as well as no gelatin, lard, chicken or beef broth, etc. It will take some time for you to learn to read labels thoroughly (I didn't know that there are no vegetarian-friendly flavors of Doritos in the US for years - when you see "natural flavors" on a Doritos ingredient list, it's sourced from pork.)
3. No, there is no meat in veggie burgers. That would largely defeat the purpose of their existence.
4. Vegetarian foods are made with every conceivable food ingredient except for the ones listed in answer #2, which vegetarians don't eat. For example, you can get veggie burgers which are made mostly from soy (these tend to be the "meatiest" in terms of taste and texture) and you can get veggie burgers that are made mostly from oats and veggies.
You're right that you don't want to be a noodle eater all the time. You need a balanced diet and the key to that is variety. Choose plenty of different fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. There is one of those "Complete Idiot's Guide" books on vegetarian living (not that I'm suggesting you are an idiot! I have the vegan one myself.) It might be a good investment for you since you are just starting out. It should have lots of good information about getting nutrition as a vegetarian, how to talk to people who are against the idea, tips on reading ingredient lists and ordering in restaurants, as well as recipes and other resources.

1. I am
2. Anything but meat or things which animals had to die to provide.
3. No
4. Anything you want, except meat!
1. YES! I wouldn't have it any other way!
2. Everything but meat, gelatin, and be careful for lard which sneaks into a lot of things. And technically most cheeses aren't vegetarian unless you get the ones that specifically say NO ANIMAL ENZYMES
3. Uh...no meat...then it wouldn't be veggie
4. proteins from non-meat sources, i.e. tofu, soy, vegetage protein, temph, polenta, beans...
I eat almost the same foods as I did before I was a vegetarian, just with a few changes...
I still eat "chicken fried steak" with gravy and mashed potatoes. Just try our different brands and different products to discover what you like best. I like Morningstar and Amy's products the best! Good luck and welcome to the WONDERFUL world of Vegetarianism!
1. I'm a vegan, which is a branch of the vegetarian family.
2. It depends on what type of vegetarian you want to be. You can either be a lacto-ovo vegetarian that eats no meat, poultry or fish, but eats eggs and dairy, a lacto vegetarian, that eats no meat, poultry, fish or eggs, but eats dairy, or a ovo vegetarian that eats no meat, poultry, fish, or dairy but eats eggs. You can pretty much eat alot of things. Veggie burgers, meatless sandwiches, tacos with soy "meat", etc. Try going to www.vegweb.com to see recipes and more. Also, use the suggestion the person above gave about peta2. There should be some info there as well.
3. No there is no meat in veggie burgers.
4. Vegetarian food ingredients vary, really. Here are several websites that offer vegetarian products.
www.gardenburger.com
www.bocaburger.com
www.morningstarfarms.com
www.amyskitchen.com
www.yvesveggie.com

Vegetarianism works in Body-Emotion-Intellectual balance. It is not for weight loss, hallelujah diet and eating habit alone, but...
There are 3 level of evolution in modern vegetarians.
*Level 1 – Physical*
------------------------
BEGINNERS; Concerning 5 senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, body conscious). More concern about animal as "bloody" and "filthy", health issue, disgusting smell and taste, “instincto”, RELIGIOUS ideology
*Level 2 – Soul (Emotion)*
---------------------------------
INTERMEDIATE ; Concerning "animal rights", love, care, famine, poverty, hunger, starvation, pain, suffering, cry, scream, murder.
Level 3 - Mind (Intellectual)
---------------------------------
MOST CRUCIALLY, World issue, hunger, starvation, resources, pollution, meat-politics, freakonomics, domination by the strong ones, poverty, criminology, psychopath.
There are common reason for most vegetarians show their care and love to others (like the parents to children, you and your family and friend), but often the way insist others to opt or believe our values is wrong.
-------------------------------------
There take your time, step-by-step, eventually realizing the truth of "vegetarianism".
-------------------------------------
Veggie burger is of course vegetarian in modern context. It tastes really good...with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, vegan mayonnaise and chili sauce.
