Vegetarians- do you take any vitamins or nutritional supplements?!

Question: I take a multivitamin daily which includes B12. I don't think I'm missing anything much, but it seems like good insurance.

Not at all. I'm all healthy as it is.

nutritionist said to take multivitamin.
i take Centrum.

Nope and my doctor told me I am very healthy.

I take a vegetarian multivitamin when I'm traveling or under a great deal of stress. Occasionally I'll take a vegetarian iron supplement (Yes, there is a difference between vegetarian and nonvegetarian supplements--no gelatin!) because sometimes my body has a hard time absorbing iron.

well being a vegeterian you dont really need to bc ur still eating dairy. but i do take Vitamin B12 and sometimes i drink these nasty protein drinks when i wokr out. my doctors says im the healthiest i can be!

I was a vegetarian for about five years because I liked how healthy I felt by omitting meat products. During that time, I had an iron deficiency so I had to take vitamins.

I think everyone everyone should take vitamins - vegetarians and meat eaters.

nope i dont

As long as you are eating organic foods you shouldn't need to worry about B12. B12 is produced by a bacteria that is harmless and lives on any vegetation that isn't lace with pesticide. A spinach salad ever now and then will help with the iron. I do however take a Flaxseed oil based supplement for the omega3s.

I don't havre to, but I take one multi-vit "just because". My flexitarian diet with it's seafood/fish and poultry component is terrific. Built body mass and in better shape than most folks half my age . .. especially those undernourished vegans and "strict" vegetarians. Can't really build mass and muscle without fish/seafood/poultry..

Not regularly and my haemoglobin (iron) was high enough to give blood.

I do have goji juice on and off and wheatgrass shots sometimes. Sometimes I will have green powders in juice (such as barley, wheatgrass or spirulina).

I have been vegetarian for 20 years. I think over that time I have used one packet of multivitamins and once I took magnesium tablets.

If I feel a cold coming on I may have garlic and horseradish.

Nope. I eat a wide variety of foods, and that's enough.

i dont and am healthy. It depends on your diet to a small part.
get the doctor to do some blood tests and a few other things to see what they think
i dont believe centrum is vegetarian

I take a multivitamin, but even as a meat eater I did, because I was told it is good to take one. Today, I eat balanced enough that I don't HAVE to take one, but I still do
