Is eating a lot of soy products bad for you?!

Question: Ever since I have become a vegan, I have been eating soy everything. Soy cheese, soymilk, soy pancakes, soy vegan burgers, soy omelets, and soy manicottis.
Here is an example of what I would eat in a normal day.

-Breakfast-vegan pancakes (no sugar)
-snack-pineapple
-snack-vegan banana bread
-Lunch-whole wheat bread with sugarless organic pb and j
-snack-pineapple
-snack-vegan cookie with soymilk
-Dinner-tofu manicottis

Will I lose weight this way? Is my new diet bad?

The amount of soya you are eating is fine. Soya is in fact a very good source of protein. However, I would suggest that you add more fruit and veg to your daily diet. You should aim to eat five portions of fruit and/or veg per day. There are so many fruits and veg to choose from that you should find some to your taste, e.g. an orange, a banana, broccoli, spinach, salad. You could easily add a few vegetables to your dinner to make it a more balanced diet and eat fruit as a snack, which you are doing already.

You could also try to eat rice, beans, pulses or pasta occasionally to vary your diet. Drink plenty of water too - the recommended daily allowance is approx 7-8 glasses per day.

Try to do 40 mins of exercise per day like jogging or brisk walking. Combine this exercise with a healthy diet and you will lose weight. If, after three weeks, you find that you are not losing weight, then reduce the size of the portions you are eating but continue with the five fruit/veg rule.
Best Wishes.

i have no clue but it sounds really healthy

Unfermented soy is unhealthy. The processed soy that is sold in the U.S. is unhealthy and that's the stuff you are eating.

I don't think so I love soy.

Too much processed food isn't healthy for anyone. Whole foods are ideal. Processed stuff should be consumed in moderation with the bulk of your diet being whole foods.

You will lose weight if you consume fewer calories than you burn.

That may be a little too much soy.

Your not going over board. Just avoid the nasty soybean stuff like Mcdonalds hamburgers. They are not meat free or good for you.

If you are tired of soy try eating an asian stirfry with noodles and tons of vegi's
