Textured vegetable protein. A fake mince made from vegetables that tastes of nothing at all.

textured vegetable protein

Like everyone else has said, it's textured vegetable protein. Personally I think the stuff is gross. It has a weird flavor and a weird smell to it. It comes dehydrated. When we use it we mix it in to giant batches of ground meat in order to "boost nutritional value".
I've known it to make people sick even in small amounts.

Textured Vegetable Protein. It is not something a true vegan would buy muchless eat. It's a "convenience food" (read: garbage) for wannabe vegans and "vegans-in-training".
