yes you may,

Marble cake
1/2 cup vegan margarine
1 cup sugar
egg replacer equivalent to 2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vegan soydrink
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1/6 cup melted vegan chocolate chips
2 tablespoons vegan soydrink

Grease and flour a round cake pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream together margarine and sugar.
Add egg replacer. Mix well.
Add baking powder and salt. Mix well.
Add soydrink. Mix well.
Add flour gradually.
Divide batter into 2 halves in 2 separate bowls.
Mix melted chocolate chips and soydrink into one half.
Spoon into cake pan, alternating spoonfuls of chocolate and vanilla.
Bake 50-60 minutes. Test with a toothpick to ensure it's done.

Yup, you can make your cake and eat it too.

Vegans can definitely make cakes. You might want to look at recipezaar.com - you can type in cakes and then sift it by vegan. Whole Foods Market has many vegan things. Don't worry. :)

YES!
Try this cookbook:
"Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World: 75 Dairy-Free Recipes for Cupcakes that Rule" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero

"Should" you still make cakes? Of course you should. Everyone needs cake. Or better yet, cupcakes.

Try vegweb.com - every kind of cake you could ever want to make, along with any other kind of vegan goodies.

The best cakes I've ever made have been vegan cakes!

They usually sell vegan cake mix at health stores, where you just add water.

There are loads of replacements. Egg replacement, vegan butter, etc.

You don't need to give up cake.

Of course you can! For eggs, you can use egg replacer or simply substitute one tablespoon of cornstarch mixed into two or three tablespoons of cold water. Of course you can't make a quiche like that, but it works great in baking! Use soy milk such as So Nice or So Good instead of dairy milk and cold pressed oils or olive oil (or softened coconut oil) or margarine to replace butter. I bake all the time and you really can't tell the difference when you switch the dairy with similar ingredients.

If you were vegan, you would already know this.
Obviously you'd make cakes with vegan ingredients.

Sure, but you remember how delicious those cakes were BEFORE you "went vegan"? Well they aren't going to taste as good now. Google vegan cakes and check out the recipes and you will see what I mean. I'm going to have a piece of Decadent Chocolate Torte I just made.

YES!!!
if you want to take the easiest way out you can use egg replacer, soy milk and vegan margerine and still use your favorite cake recipes from your pre-vegan days.
if you believe, like some, that that is cheating and not truely vegan you should definetly get a copy of vegan cupcakes take over the world, it's amazing. and the people who wrote that have a tv show, here is the website full of handy baking tips:

and this lass does a great job you should check her out:

best of luck!

Oil, butter, eggs
it depends how strict you want to follow vegan.
