Answers: What about all those poor animal farmers and animal killers and dismemberers out there. If we were all vegos what would they do?

Actually we are being Patriotic by being Vegetarian because animal farm houses produce more greenhouse gases than all the cars in the planet put together. So to save the country and the planet earth one needs to be Patriotic and that is by being Vegetarian.
The human mind is so complex that all will NEVER become vegos. Among Humans we have the Good, the bad and the ugly and this is universal and will never change.
A calf at birth is about 30 to 40 kg and grows to become about 200 - 300kg. This increase in weight is not by feeding 200-40kg but by feeding about 20kg of fodder everyday for almost 4 years. If this food converted into fodder is available to feed to the poor then thousands of people can be fed. So you see it is patriotic to be vegetarian.

NO

No

I don't see how it's unpatriotic. If everyone was vegetarian, they'd still raise the livestock for other purposes or find another job.

They'd be queuing up in the social security office.

We must keep these people in work.

Yay, meat !

They could become fruit and vegetable farmers.

*a patriotic vegetarian*

Think about what your country has done for you and them you'll have your answer.

They would have to find new careers.

Is it unpatriotic to not support certain businesses? News to me!!!

Get a dictionary. That's a non sequitur.

No. Farmers will grow whatever they can sell, and if for some insane reason the world were to turn veggie, they would sell vegetables instead of meat animals.

Being vegetarian is a personal choice and should have nothing to do with politics, much less patriotism. The word "unpatriotic" gets thrown around a lot. ...mostly by narrow minded people who would like to impose their views on others.

Raise them for other purposes, milking and stuff. Well the killers and dismemberers would be screwed... but yah know.

no but its un-lovetheworld-ly, cow flatulence depletes ozone layer, meat industry kills cows, eat meat, keep industry running, keep ozone layer happy. buy a steak is what im saying.

its not unpatriotic. but all those people would be out of jobs since no one wold be eating meat. personaly i think meat is an essential for us. but it all just depends on your own beliefs. im fine with all as long as no one tries to force that one me. i like my milk. and i like my meat.

nonsense. vegetarians still support the American farmer and the FAA.

If the majority of citizens were vegans or vegetarians, the folks who are currently in the meat production loop would not be so numerous.

There are lots of re-training programs out there too!

There is very little likelihood of the entire nation converting anyway. But it is an interesting "What If..."

yes it is unpatriotic to be vegetarian the framers of the constitution ate meat even george washington endured the splinters of wooden teeth to eat meat. i hearbye declare all vegans also comunists

I don't think it's unpatriotic. It's your choice what you want to go into your body.
Don't worry about everybody becoming Vegans.
That will never happen.

hey, im vegetarian. my friends still say im true to my country and care about it!

no.....it is patriotic.....because .......you are using your American Freedom of choice!

John Wayne ate red meat, and plenty of it.
Therefore, being a vegetarian is tantamount to treason against the United States.

Only if the US was attacked by the Killer Tomatoes (like in the movie). But then again, consuming the enemy would be patriotic now wouldn't it?

anyway, short off some world wide disaster or unnatural phenomena, it will never happen, (not in your lifetime anyway) the part where everyboidy will go vegetarian so don't worry about it.

Vegetarianism or vegan-ism are choices of personal conscience, and nothing whatsoever to do with patriotism.

Whether or not you eat meat, your tax dollars are subsidizing the cattle industry. That's all the patriotism the dismemberers need, and a fair number of them are illegal immigrants, anyway. It's a complicated issue, but the bald eagle likes olives as well as arrows.

I see where you're coming from actually. But it will never be that way so i wouldn't worry too much :P

Not everyone will ever be 'vegos'.
It would be lovely to think we would see an end to mass farming, and mass waste - but I doubt it will ever happen.
People will always eat meat, and even if it was on a more sympathetic level, there will always be a need for farmers and butchers.

Not in the least........

Its definitely unpatriotic to be fat ( I.e contributing nothing to society, only taking away from it) - yet 2 million americans are super morbidly obese . God knows how many are just morbidly obese LET alone just obese . Probably about 30 million.

If people were Vegetarian , they wouldn't be fat :)

so its not unpatriotic to be vegetarian.

How is it unpatriotic? Is "freedom" not the American way? Freedom to diet as we choose. I don't like eating the dead carcass of defenseless animals. I don't like drinking blood. And nobody can make me. I don't care if it puts someone with dirty hands out of business.

As for farmer's, have you ever thought that vegetarians really KEEP a lot of them in business? Think of all of the fruits and vegetables they sell. As for farmers who raise cattle, chickens, or sell milk and eggs - there is no way the whole world is going to go vegetarian. They'll always have plenty of business, which is sad in my opinion.

Look at it this way. Can meat eaters stop vegetarians/vegans from eating? No. And we can't stop the meat eaters.

cow fields convert to cornfields very easily...

However, I don't think your scenario would ever happen....because vegetarians are a very small minority.

No.

Great question BTW *rolling eyes*
