Why is a vegan lifestyle so great?!
Answers: Tell me why you think a vegan lifestyle is so great. What are the benefits for your health, animals, and the environment. Who ever has the best information wins =]
Many dairy farms give growth hormones to the animals [not to mention take terrible care of them], so, at least in milk products, you are consuming all sorts of nasty chemicals/medicines/and what side effects the animal has [pus, etc]. As for the animals, they are often harshly abused, and the hormones they are given make them produce more milk, at a more rapid pace than their bodies are equipt for, leaving them literally dragging their udders on the ground. Now, this isn't ALL dairy farms. The organic farms are much better with the animals, and their products aren't filled with gunk we shouldn't be ingesting. But I still choose to be vegan, and not just vegetarian, because milk is for babies [animal babies in this case].
And obviously, there are tons of health issues with animal meat, and they are killed for their meat.

1) you, you are more healthy by keeping to a diet that has no fats and lots of greens 2) animals, duh, you're not EATING them, i think being a vegan is a great thing!
It is not. It works for those who choose to be one and work at it. It can be very very unhealthy if done incorrectly.
It's not. It makes you arrogant and stupid... and one helluva hypocrite.
It's not great. It's unnatural.
The only reason you can get away with being a vegetarian today, is because you have access to a huge VARIETY of fruits and veggies. Being a vegetarian is a chore. And it's not a chore that would have been plausible or in anyway healthy prior to the industrial revolution....when the average person only had access to about 3 or 4 different types of fruits and veggies which were also seasonal.
