Vegetarian dilema?!
Answers: i have been a strict vegetarian for years, but recently i have been having cravings for chicken.so would it be allright to eat chicken if it died from natural causes? or say maybe a leg if it lost one in an accident? thanks
lol. I never lknew you where a vegi. i think you're having a laugh.
no!
Something tells me you dont want to be a vegetarian anymore.......
Are you serious? Do you live somewhere near a large natural herd of chickens where one might die of natural causes? If so then I guess it would be alright. If it is like a mob hit and Vinny the chicken meets with an unfortunate "accident" then I would say no.
Honestly, you only live once
if there's something you want to eat
i say you should
it would be okay if it died of natural causes
because it wouldn't be murder
then you should'nt feel bad.
=]
think of it like that
ooooooooooo thats fowl lol
roadkill is cool if you get it the road while its still warm
You made me laugh, you swine. If it lost one in an accident! I love it.
If you live in a sheep farming area, they cut off the lambs tails for hygiene reasons. You could collect them and eat them because the animal doesn't die by providing it.
If the bird died "from natural causes" it means that there was likely a disease process going on. So you would be eating DISEASED chicken.
Suit yourself. Catch whatever disease you want.
Hunny you cant eat the chicken you gotta fight your cravings if you eat the chicken you arent a vegetarian anymore you would be back to carnivore so what you gotta do is find a vegetrarian alternative yo chicken like quorn or tofu dont eat the chicken heed my words!
eat some fake vegetarian chicken with bbq sauce to curb that craving!
Not really. Your either veggie or not so I think you need to make a decision which you are!
Ps. How do you expect to find all these chickens which have died of natural causes??!
I think you're pulling our legs.
I am a strict vegetatian and animal lover, and i have no time for people who have no compassion for beautiful animals.
Shame on you, either you are a strict vegetarian, or a carnivore. If as you say, you are a strict veggie, then this would not be an issue for you.
thanks for the laugh
they all have " accidents" they lose more than just one leg.. but if your a vegetarian for quite sometime than i would not suggest eating more than "just a leg" on one sitting. then gradually increase your portions. it is difficult on your stomach to take too much of what it has not had in years..but whatever you eat just enjoy because psychology plays a part in digestion as well..
Go on - eat the chicken!
Go to KFC where all chickens once lived in royal apartments and where surrounded by chicks. They ate the best corn, roamed the paddocks without a worry and they all died with smiles on their their little beaked faces. Ask for a bucket of KFC skins
how do you know it is chicken if it has been many years?
If you ate it you would be no longer vegetarian but that is just a name which does not rearly matter.
If you acualy ate the chicken you might find it repolsive and nolonger have the cravings but who rearly knows. If you feal you must give into your cravings a natural death from a good farmer would be the best way to go but i would prefer to fight them.
How long have you had them?
I f you really want chicken than have some chicken but don't beat yourself up and if you plan on staying vegetarian then don't make this a habit.
If you think this is a phase your going through then wait it out.
If you crave it and you really don't want to eat it then visit a slaughterhouse and you'll never want to eat chicken again!
I hope I have been helpful
Just get some Morningstar Farms Chik Patties (from soy) in the frozen food section of the grocery and you won't be able to tell the difference.
In a pure ethical point of view, its not wrong to eat any animals who died from natural causes. BUT the danger of that, is to find reason to help natural causes to happend. I dont know if you ask this, just to help people to think about ethics dilema or if it is a real question you are facing.
Personnaly, I wont eat a dead animal, even died from natual causes, because I dont need to do it. If I imagine to be lost somewhere, without any food (no trees, no vegetables, no fruits) and the only thing I can eat is a dead animal, sure I will (even if the animal is a human, survive is survive). But in my actual life, no reason to do it. You can eat plenty of meat imitation, who are more tasty and safe than a animal who died for unknown reason (sick?).
Regards.
remove the label and eat what you want. it's not like they are going to put you in jail or anything..
I've been a vegetarian all my life and starting to think what's the point. Eat the meat.
why not try chewing your teddy bear , it might get rid of the craving.......
I think the bears are chickens anyway !!!!
I'm not a vegetarian because I like animals but because there's no way I want to stick a piece of one of those nasty stupid things in my mouth. But if I found myself craving one I'd go for it. But you may just need some amino acids, which chicken is a great source of by the way, probally why your craving it. Try some amino supplements first and see if they help. Also buy the ones for body builders not the crap for vegans they sell at health food stores, most of that stuff is worthless and in too small of amounts to help your cravings. Once you start actually craving meat your usually pretty deficient and you need the larger amounts to set you right again..Good luck
If you really need to eat chicken suck it up and admit you are no longer strict veggie and eat your chicken. Look for one that had a good life before it was slaughtered. But don't pretend to be a vegetarian if you are going to start eating chicken, just call yourself a person who doesn't eat red meat or fish.
if you decide to eat chicken, you should only eat chicken that is from an organic farm. it should be hormone free, free range, and, most of all, processed properly.
eating road kill can kill ya!
No problem. Eat what you want, because there are only true vegans and non-true vegans, which includes "vegetarians", ominivores, obese people, etc., etc.
maybe now that your older you can swich to flex vegetarian. Just don't get it from kfc buy it at the store and buy the organic
Nope, a part of being vegetarian is not having the desire to eat flesh.
No murder is is of natural causes...
no
Life's to short, eat chicken if you must.
