From what I have seen, John Freida's collection does not support any animal testing whatsoever.

Garnier Fructis does test on animals... along with a lot of other companies.

Whatever cosmetics company says they don't test on animals are hypocrites because all those incredients they use were at some point tested on animals by an other company that does test on animals, they are using the same test results and claiming innocense.

Garnier Fructis does test on animals. I'm not sure about John Freda. Here's a list of cruelty-free hair products: http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-cf2.asp

Also, here are lists of companies that do and don't test on animals: http://www.caringconsumer.com/resources_...

Good luck!

Products not tested on animals are tested on humans. Are humans animals? Only you can say. But yes, instead of putting a drop of shampoo in a bunny's eye, they will put it in the eye of a college student. If the student's eye swells up, they might not pass the shampoo.
Your preference for "no animal testing" doesn't stop animal testing, it just trades you up to a bigger animal (people!!!)
