Question: NOT that ive got second thoughts on veganism, i read something about it, saying that your body wont be able to digest these foods again as your body isnt used to them anymore

With having experience in this field, some even complained of cramping, swollen insides and taste being off. If you do, which I don't want you to Mrs. Vegan, but if you must, slowly digest items not real heavy and all at once. Still keep on vitamins and water to balance.

Add in every day little by lil' more and more flavor to rebuild that sexah tum tum of yours, too bad you couldn't convert the hubby. I'm rooting for yas!

Next target, the kiddos, if you can get them to tone down the meats, more powah mum. Muah*

it would just taste yucky! one look and you will get sick! don't even try it, it's not worth it.

yes they can. but not to sound rude or anything but u may end up constitpated or have the runs. but wat i sugest is start slowly, have small amounts over a long period. also go see a nutrientist at ur drs. pysicaly ur body will digest it fine but u may just have a upsett tummy for a while.

your body as with anything would have to take time to adjust back to the meat and the byproducts..but to say never is just un educated and trying to scare someone...your body is an amazing machine...you'd be surprized with what all it will do for you.....Enjoy Food!!! (whatever you decide to eat)

Wow. I have no idea, but that is a great question...

have a star.

I am not a Vegan, but am pretty much Vegetarian.
I can't handle meat products at all. If I have them it gives me the runs and makes me sick for the next few day.

A digesting system doesn't adjust to the food it has to digest. You can go back and forth again as many times as you like, no problem. I would like to know where you read this becuase scientificaly seen it's complete rubbish.

Yes, you could switch back to eating whatever you like. Milks may be a little difficult since a body's tolerance for lactose gradually (or sometimes sharply) declines after early childhood. How that would be affected by not being exposed to lactose at all I don't know. I would imagine there could be complications there, but i can't seem to find a source that points either way.

your body never really loses it's ability to process meats, but the fats may cause some discomfort while your body transitions, as well as certain proteins and sugars.

I would imagine it would take some time.

i was finding veganism hard about 4 years ago and i went back to vegetarian and it was fine! but i dont know about meat..

WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!

Cheeseburgers here we come!!!!

Boy I can't wait to welcome you back...but take your time.lol

of course since your body can digest meat. you may get an upset stomach but no more than that.

It would cause gastric distress.
Our bodies can adapt to lots of things so I assume it would settle down after awhile.
Dr. John McDougall warns his patients to be aware when they go off the Plant based Diet that this will happen. Most of his clients are on the diet for heart disease or other such killers so can do non vegan foods sometimes when they travel( like to Italy) or have special event to attend.

Slainté(to your health)

Yes because the way you process things usually doesn't change until you get older and then since your body isn't used to things like that anymore you might get sick. But you would still be able to digest it of course.

no

I get sick everytime I eat eggs and cheese. I still don't drink milk. Fish doesn't seem to affect me, but I am scared to eat anything else (chicken or beef--don't like pork). I was only a strict vegan for 3 months.

I now consider myself a vegetarian, but I don't eat eggs, milk, or very much cheese.

I have several vegan friends who either became ovo-lacto vegetarians or full-fledged omnivores. The common experience for my friend has been that it has been much easier to introduce meat and fish back into the diet rather than dairy. Many of my friends couldn't digest dairy very well for a long time and some of my friends who are no longer vegan eat meat but avoid dairy. As a vegan who has considered going back to dairy I have learned that drinking milk is probably going to be more difficult than eating youghurt or ice-cream.

you'll get the runs
